The point is moot. “We the people” are fools - and worse - sheep who will believe what the Won spouts.

Pain - will be the purifier - and the teacher...

We, the people are to blame.

We are the final guardians of our freedom, our country and our well being, and we are derelict in our duty.

I am starting to think the only way for the Republicans to not take the blame is to just walk out during every disputed vote. In using this form of protest, those disputed spending bills favored by the dems will pass. When the economic destruction these bills invite comes to pass, the Republicans can honestly say that they had no part in it......
But who am I kidding? The media will just blame the repubs anyway saying that that their passivity in the face of our economics problems did more damage than the dems who were, in their opinion, trying to fix things.

Catch 22 in political terms.

The fault will be the dims, but with Boehner and McConnell as the faces of the GOP, it won’t be hard for the dims to blame it on the GOP and the public will swallow the lie.

Who cares. ...let it come.

It will be worth paying the higher taxes to see all the
Opukes wailing in pain when they look at their paychecks.

The shock will give them a case of Obarrhea. ...Yes that
crampy and nauseous feeling of anger, disappointment and
regret.

What follows is a runny brown kind of buyers remorse.

Whose fault? Those who chose to be taken care of, who fought for it, demanded it and made it a right.

The weak and their enablers who put their reality on someone else's bill.

And those who refused to see what was happening and take a stand before it got to them, too, because by then it was too late.

Of course it will be the Republican backed business owners that hoarded cash, fired employees, and closed businesses for no reason other than their greed and hate for the working man. /sarc

That's an easy one. Which party has a president that uses the executive order countless times to dismantle America?

Obama. The Democrats.

which party will be to blame?

Democrats. DUH!

They're the ones who have been enslaving and robbing the producing class for years. They've stolen so much to buy their votes for so many years, the slaves don't have anything left to steal.

Which party will be blamed? Why the Republicans of course. Which party caused it? The commie ‘RATS. The ‘RATS get a free pass because of their commie zombies in the state controlled “media”. The “media” with the little princess who congratulates and fawns over Barry Benghazi instead of asking him a question that he might have to answer with another lie. She just couldn’t control her “lady parts” at the “media’s” love fest and worship service at the alter of Barry yesterday.

It’s Bush’s fault, of course.

Above all and everything, it positively and certainly CANNOT be Obama’s fault, no, no, no, no a thousand times no, it can never be Obama’s fault.

He’s too busy walking on water to ever deserve blame for anything that happens in the United States or in the world, that’s just a racist conspiracy that emerges from the White race’s hatred of Black people and deserves no consideration, as everyone in the press and academia will tell you so it must be true so, no, it can’t be Obama’s fault and it stands to reason then that it’s Bush’s fault.

Now hand me my welfare check and my food stamps and f*ck off.

As a side note to the fiscal cliff, I haven't seen anybody ask the following question about how much the federal government should be costing taxpayers per year, so here it goes.

First, note that Justice John Marshall had officially clarified that Congress is prohibited from laying taxes in the name of state power issues.

"Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States." --Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
In other words, Congress is actually prohibited from laying taxes in the name of Social Security, Medicare and a whole lot of other federal taxing and spending programs that the states have never delegated to Congress via the Constitution the specific powers to regulate.

But here's my rough estimate as to how much Section 8 of Article I of the Constitution should be costing taxpayers per year. Given that the plurality of Section 8 clauses are defense related, and given that the Department of Defense (DoD) budget for 2011 was $600+ billion, I will generously round up the annual DoD budget to $1 trillion as a rough estimate for how much Section 8 should be costing taxpayers.

In other words, we shouldn't be hearing about multi-trillion dollar federal budgets that the corrupt media, including Fox News imo, is reporting without mentioning Justice Marshall's case precedent which limits Congress's power to lay taxes.
