13 stores, that’s what, an average of 8 employees out of over 400?

If they think they can survive without unemployment benefits or another employer taking a risk on them...

Someone needs to remind them that the Chinese shoot their employees when they strike. Duh!

So stupid. This is the year Wal-Mart has the least in storage for Christmas back up due Obama, and Company.

Every year Wal-Mart has a trick they work with a major trucking organization in which they consume a horrendous amount of equipment for a couple to three months prior to Christmas. This gives them the advantage in stocking inventory for Christmas without extra warehousing costs. It works for them, and the trucking company.

This year due the economic situation Wal-Mart has ordered far less than ever before for this coming Christmas inventory, and these dumbasses are going to walk eh.

Probably doing Wal-Mart a favor.

There will be millions of people working on Thanksgiving day and night, get over it. Cops, firemen, military, and any other operation that runs 24/7. I have been there and done that just like millions of others.

I actually liked working the big holidays, usually bonus money and a quieter work day. Plus, not having to referee the fights at the family gatherings.

One of the workers who plans to join next week's walkout is William Fletcher, who works at a Wal-Mart in Duarte, Calif.

Got curious; there's no William Fletcher at the Duarte, CA store at the corner of Mountain and the 210 who is scheduled to work either Thursday or Friday.

Work schedules are posted by the door in most stores, and in most stores, you can simply ask the greeter to check the schedule to see if someone's working a particular day.

The walkout builds on an October strike that started at a Wal-Mart in Los Angeles and spread to stores in 12 other cities. More than 100 workers joined in the October actions.

012 stores
100 people
??? non-employee participation to get that number

LMAO

Unemployment rate hovering around 11% in the state

That's it folks, "Hostess" them. That'll show em!

I can't wait until Hostess employees start looking for a replacement job. Too soon old. Too late smart.

Who does their Christmas shopping at Walmarts. All the WMs I been to it looks like the customers are on the very bottom of the 47% and service is terrible, crappy management and employees.

I'm not sure why they are staging a walk-out. I've heard because they have to work on Thanksgiving, have to come in to work in the wee hours of the morning Black Friday, or I don't know what else.

Some of the practices of Walmart toward its employees is ridiculously dirty and has nothing to do with capitalism or the free market.....I don’t know what this strike is about and I’m certainly not a libtard but I wouldn’t mind a strike on Black Friday just to spook the Walton family and maybe it will save somebody from getting trampled under by these zombie shoppers that fight over a cheap $30 DVD player that won’t last over a year

A group of Wal-Mart workers are planning to stage a walkout next week

Walking off the job is grounds for dismissal.
Fire anyone who walks away from their duties. There are a lot of people in this country who need a job desperately, and would love to work that day. In fact, they'd be happy to work any day. A job is a job.

If WalMart lets the uneducated wack jobs get away with making executive decisions for them, WalMart will go the way of Hostess.

Fire anyone one who walks off right on the spot. No if's, no and's, and no but's. No exceptions.

I’ll believe it, when I see it....
Just because the Morons.Borg goons in the media claim something will happen, doesn’t mean it does when it’s time for it.

No joke. Everytime I go in one, there are tons of cash registers - most of them closed, lots of shoppers walking around relativily uninteracted with, and chaos in general.

Of course, if I worked at WalMart, I'd hide from The People of WalMart, too. Some of the people I've seen as a customer make me want to go on strike. From the world.
