NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -

A group of Wal-Mart workers are planning to stage a walkout next week on Black Friday, arguably the biggest holiday shopping day for the world's largest retail store.

The walkout builds on an October strike that started at a Wal-Mart in Los Angeles and spread to stores in 12 other cities. More than 100 workers joined in the October actions.

One of the workers who plans to join next week's walkout is William Fletcher, who works at a Wal-Mart in Duarte, Calif.

“Walmart is the best run corporation in the world. Those of you who hate capitalism and business can’t comprehend the greatness of such a business entity.”

huh?

Yep. What’s a few million to Walton if it keeps Obammy off his back?

No, I’ve always believed the media to be completely objective and never known to advance a left wing agenda. ;-)

Hey, BfloGuy! You watching the game tonight?

Hate to admit it, but they lost me about 5 years ago.

Nope. Haven't for years, now.

It all ended when it dawned on me that they always lost but still expected Erie County's taxpayers to "upgrade" the stadium.

The Bills might as well be from, oh, I don't know, Toronto?

THEY ARE DEAD TO ME.

One guy is using the department transfer he requested as an excuse, and saying they have given him fewer hours because he wanted this transfer. In reality his hours were probably cut because of Obama Care. Considering the activism, when did this guy have time to offer good customer service?

I agree with Walmart.

I see some Walmart’s hiring on Saturday morning.

More "jobs saved or created" for Obama to crow about.

***Sounds like they would lose a lot of money made off of cheap Chinese crap.****

Since you can buy the same Chinese crap at K-Mart, Target, Sears, Ace, True Value, Hobby Lobby, and a hundred other American stores....what is the point?

Lots of unemployed people can not get their jobs! It’s only 8 hours! Eat later.

The difference is Walmart buys in such bulk that their items are made to their specs. Its how they make it cheaper.

I thought Walmart was non-union, so they are free to hire replacements immediately.

The replacements, however may need bodyguards, and other guards to prevent destruction of their vehicles.

Wannabe Union thugs are very very efficient!

I guess my point is I don’t like Walmart. The stores are dirty. The prices are not lower and I hate standing in line behind welfare princesses. I avoid it as much as possible. So if some poor shmuck is tired of working for them and wants to cost them some money on the greediest day of the year I say more power to them. rant over...

Well if you need a job and live near any of the stores, I suggest arrive on Black Friday and you just might get a job!

Just don't drive your own car to work, unless it's already trashed.

From my experience in talking to people about Wal-Mart is that most people hate it because masses of poor, fat, and otherwise undesirable people shop there. Nobody ever sais it directly, and perhaps they don’t even conciously realize it, but that is the reason sites like “people of wal-mart” are so popular. The great unwashed that shop there are rude, vulgar, and sometimes a little gross, they leave messes their multitudes of children run wild. The people who hate wal-mart would love it if they didn’t have to come into contact with the dregs of humanity.

“I believe that Unions are needed for this very thing, that is, companies such as Walmart who do not take care of their bottom feeder employees.”
If you believe that companies exist for the purpose of taking care of “bottom feeder employees”, why don't you fork over some capital and start one? When you do, I'm sure you'll love it when your employees benevolently tell you how to run it and they'll eventually decide what they'd like to do during their “work day”.
Let me know how that works out for you.

Be nice...I worked at Wal Mart during college. And we worked very hard with little assistance from managers.
The walk out people...they will be fired. There are to many folks without a job at this time. Not that smart. Walmart is actually very good to you IF you work hard.
