Scott Walker will not implement state 0-care exchange!
Newstalk 1130, Milwaukee ^ | 11/15/12 | Mark Belling

Posted on 11/15/2012 4:06:45 PM PST by grumpygresh

Good news! I just heard on Newstalk 1130 AM in Milwaukee that Scott Walker would announce on Friday that WI would not implement the state exchange. I also heard that a group of GOP governors would do likewise and make a group announcement tomorrow!

Scott Walker WI is the REAL deal. He takes Dems face on and he doesn't blink even when they mobilize against him. He outsmarts them, he out-talks them and he crushes them.
He looks and sounds good on camera he doesn't say stupid stuff on camera that Dems can use against him, unlike our national Rs.

My very first political cartoon video was one supporting Walker during his Ohio standoff when the Dems ran out of state (>43K views) to stop him, and they still failed.
A Liberal Teacher explains Union Busting(Feb 26, 2011 youtube)

I couldn't do this with Romney this race. He gave me no good material to use.

Only fly in the ointment - our Gov. Jay Nixon is a Democrat. The legislature is Republican. Doubt if the Gov joins the group.

Take Missouri off that list. Our Democrat Gov. has been trying to sneak around and implement it, even though the voters have rejected it TWICE, and Republican legislature keeps it blocked.

I don’t think our Gov will be joining the group.

Florida governor Rick Scott is caving. He said “I’m responsible for the families of Florida ... If I can get to yes, I want to get to yes.”

Incoming Florida Speaker of the House Weatherford and incoming Florida Senate President Gaetz, both Republican, intend to work on ways to implement only certain parts.

So Florida is being screwed over. At the hands of Republicans.

I hadn’t thought so but I see now that Scott is an unprincipled weasel. He’s not alone in his weasel RINO world. These people campaign on issues and state their principles. Once elected these principles devolve into positions.

Scott’s position is changing because other people were elected or lost elections. Like Boehner he believes “the people have spoken” and he therefor must proceed to capitulate to the Dems.

So much for principle.

If Republicans would stand by their principles they would do much better and not loose elections. The Dems surely aren’t going to support them so why do they pizz on their base? There will be no one left to support them after that. Such idiots.

The point is that if the state’s participate in setting up this debacle, the regime will have them co-opted in it’s ultimate failure. Walker’s point is that the regime will never allow him to set it up the way he would want to, so what’s the point. Let Obama own it. Makes good sense. BTW - Belling also said that his sources said there were about 20 GOP govs that agreed to resist.

He is a former physician

The only way for an extant mortal to become a former physicianis to have his license lifted for cause.

I’m not arguing with you here, but I swear, you could have run a dead collie and I would have voted for it over Obama.

And that collie would have been much more believable than Romney during the primary process.

LOL

Love this guy. He can communicate, and he does a damn fine job of it. Looks like 2016 material to me. He has guts and youth and fire in his belly to do the job. And he’s conservative.

Way to go Walker.

Since Obama likes to play the ‘I won’ game, I think it would be a hoot if the states he lost all refused to sign on.

We can quit seeing patients. I would say that makes one a former physician.

Here’s another good take on how the battle now has shifted to states. http://www.forbes.com/sites/gracemarieturner/2012/11/14/the-obamacare-battlefront-shifts-to-the-states/

The effort to repeal has two strikes against it, from SCOTUS and from the recent election. So while the task is more difficult, the game is by no means over. Remember that it took 13 years to repeal Prohibition. But also remember that the Medicare Catastrophic Coverage Act was repealed within 6 months of being implemented. Major parts of Obamacare don’t get implemented until 2014. At that point, the SHTF.

Meanwhile we have a month extension to decide which just tells me my ‘Republican’ governor is going to give it a big thumbs up. He’s just hoping the maelstrom will die down enough to agree to it without a ton of flak.

Principles have to be in the core, not on the sleeve. Reagan had them in his core. Romney wore them on his sleeve. Sorry to see your governor had them in the same place as Romney. :-/

Blueprint for States to Reject and Replace Obamacare

http://townhall.com/columnists/kenblackwell/2012/07/27/blueprint_for_states_to_reject_and_replace_obamacare

“Third, if employers with 50+ employees do not provide federally-approved healthcare, Obamacare imposes a $2,000 penalty per employee, per year. (Minimum penalty $100,000.) However, that penalty is triggered when those employees receive tax subsidies from a state-based exchange.

Since HHS-run exchanges have no subsidies, for states refuseing to create exchanges, no employer in that state will be subject to that penalty. This means business owners will band together to lobby their state not to set up exchanges.”

If employers can’t afford to pay the fine most will simply fire their employees until they get under 50.
