Conservatives should vigorously encourage this!
It's a free course in Finance 101.
Hey kids, what happens to Austin after the rest of Texas stops sending money to the University and the [former] state government?
To: zeestephen
And someone on this very forum said that the state of TX had it’s liberals under control. That they where not leaking out in to the state and taking over.
Texas, cut the cancer out now. Wall of austin. The only way to be rid of the cancer is to remove it.

Hey, cool! Austin can be kinda like West Berlin. Only *they’d* be the commies and *we’d* be the good guys.
We’ll have a wall around the place to keep THEM IN, with barb wire on the top, and when they get hungry enough they’ll go over the wall into the rural areas beyond... and we’ll shoot ‘em.
I’m liking the concept the more I think about it.

I’ve always thought if there were to be secession, it should be the red counties vs blue counties/cities (can’t think of any red cities). What then are those cities left with? Where will they get their food and water, materials with which to build? They wouldn’t need to be geographically contiguous, they could connect in the cyber world.

The human body fights abscesses like boils and pimples by building a wall around the infection, then allows the infection to eat its self and die.
Too bad the US public can not wall off these pustules of Liberalism and let them wallow and die in their own misery.

Is this really what FR has sunk to? Has inane seccesionist babble really replaced the elevated and intelligent political discourse that used to predominate on FR? Do anyone really think that following gems are anything other than Jr. High stupidity?

Since when is the peoples right to petition for political redress considered "inane secessionist babble"? Private citizens set forth a petition because we are pi$$ed with the route the federal government has taken.
This "counter-petition" is more in the line of Jr High stupidity than the original petition. This thread is making fun of the stupidity of the counter-petition. Personally, I wouldn't think twice if Austin isolated itself. Maybe the rest of us could get a break from their BS.
