Time to consider separation, divorce: ... principled Americans must insulate selves from judgment

Divorce is an ugly word.

For devout Christians and Jews, it’s a particularly unthinkable term.

The Bible strictly discourages it, even forbids it, except in the most exceptional circumstances.

But for Americans faithful to the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence and the heritage of sacrifice and liberty that set apart this country from the rest of the world, it’s time to consider separation and divorce from those who have committed adultery.

The election of 2012 provides more stark evidence that we are not really one country, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. We are already two peoples – those of us still loyal and faithful to the God-inspired founding American principles and those who have gone awhoring after the idols of government coercion and doing what’s right in their own eyes.

In short, as I have written before, America is flirting with profound judgment. If those of us who disapprove of the same-sex marriage, abortion, tyranny, collectivism, the coerced subversion of religious freedom and forced taxpayer support for the spreading of ungodly, unbiblical values and laws want to avoid that coming judgment, it’s time to separate ourselves wholly from participation.

I don’t pretend to know exactly how this works.

America is a big country that is thoroughly permeated with this treasonous, immoral, adulterous lifestyle.

But I am convinced we’ve got to begin forming new communities of the faithful and declare our separation and independence once again, just as our courageous founders did 236 years ago. Like them, we need to be prepared to defend ourselves, our families, our fortunes and our sacred honor.

Barring a miracle, I don’t believe reconciliation with those who have gone awhoring is a possibility. I’m sorry, I just don’t have much in common with Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi and George Soros

I'm not sure what to make of this article, but I would add this as a warning:

When the day of the Lord's judgement comes, that judgement will begin with the house of God. The problem is not so much that Americans have "gone a whoring," as he put it, but that the Church has"gone a whoring." She has forgotten her First Love, the One who died to save her and make her clean and has instead pursued earthly lovers. Instead of seeking to please her Lord through obedience, she has sought the favor of the world. In doing so, she is sure to reap two things; 1) The disfavor of the world, and 2) (this one is far more important) the displeasure of Her Lord. He will, no doubt, as He has in the past, chastise the ones he loves for their purification.

The election has made me very sad, for in it I see God's hand of blessing being finally removed from the land that I love. The only thing that can save America now is the full out, sitting in sack cloth and ashes repentance of His Church. It's the elephant in the room that doesn't even know it's in the room.

“Basically, we live in time that is ripe for converting the pagans. But only if we choose to stop ATTENDING church and instead start to LIVE as Christians.”

AMEN! Shout it brother! From the rooftops!

The real origin of our nation’s fall lies at the feet of the church - Christians and churches who have embraced all the world has to offer and who no longer are salt - they have no influence on the world around them - so the fall of the nation was inevitable.....we need to quit pointing the finger at the liberals/Marxists, and look at ourselves.

II Chron. 7:14 is addressed specifically to “My people...”, not a nation....

“Yeah, well, down here in Georgia we tried that in 1861. Didn’t work.”

Try again.

Unless you always give up after the first attempt.

Well goodness, that was refreshing to say the least. I didn’t want to sound like hardhatted Hannah, but sheesh! Thanks for letting me know about your “friend”. Puts all this into prespective doesn’t it? Living like this is all going away makes them clueless. We should buy complimentary shovels for them so they can dig the hole to put their heads in.
Hey! Appropriate Christmas Present.

That’s the challenge, isn’t it? Getting the existing Christians to hear the message is tough. They are as “saved” as they need to be, or so they think. I preach in church from time to time and I think that it would be far easier to preach to the unsaved than it is to preach to those who think that they’re completely sanctified.
