Sounds good to me. I'm finished trying to educate the willfully ignorant masses. Let them eat totalitarianism. Besides, I'm just a pilgrim passing through this realm.

(Any earlier post of this article wasn't tagged with the Keyword, "Congress" and FR's Search doesn't work at all for me at the moment; I just get a blank screen, no matter what I search for.)

Last time I checked, the House holds the pursestrings to the entire government.

Defund Idiotcare. Block amnesty. Obama is going to self-destruct on his own with fuel prices, food prices, a loss in AFG, the economy, unemployment, and increased terrorism on our shores.

I agree. I think they need to give him his economic ideas. I would try to minimize the defense cuts to a more reasonable level, but let him implement and own the decline.

Sounds good on paper but if Obama voters were capable of learning from consequences they would have learned already.
History is full of nations that allowed dictators and despots have full reign. But yet no lessons are learned and we keep trying the same old insanity.

I would agree with him if no conservatives lived in the US. But allowing Obama to have his way will cause as much harm to conservatives as to the liberals who caused it. So until then the House of Reps should curtail all his and his Dem cohorts requested spending

The last think we want to give Obama is bipartisan cover. That will kill the GOP for good.

Half of me says let him have it and own it; the other half wants to continue the fight on every front we still can.

With all the personal and business losses I’ve had over the last 13mos, and now this on Nov 6th, I’m still “up on the ledge”. I need to get a better grip. I’m working on it.

John Boehner should announce that he has heard the voice of George Soros.

I totally agree. Why should Republicans take the blame for being obstructionists. Obama is president, let him lead. American’s lusted for Obama, give them Obama!

I’m going Gault and will pick up the pieces after the economic car is wrapped around the tree.

The ONLY thing Republicans must not give 0bama his way on is repealing term limits for his Presidency via Executive Order.

Let them have their way and America will forever remember that a republican house did it.

I think they need to let things come to a vote and then all republicans should abstain and let the things pass with only democrat votes.

Not to “let Obama have his way”, but show up (so as to form a quorum), vote “present”, and let the Democrats all vote for the measure, with not one Republican vote in support.

There is a law in place, passed by both the House and Senate, and signed by the President in his official capacity, which allows the tax rates to revert to those that existed before the “Bush tax cuts”, and also requiring sequesteration of allocation of funds for the operations of the Federal Government at a flat rate up and down the line.

The temporary reduction in the payroll deduction for FICA also reverts from 5.65% to 7.65%, and that seems to be on track. At least nobody is talking about it.

If Republicans are supposed to be the “do-nothing” party, then perform your duty, and “do nothing” to help this farce.

There is no dishonor in standing up and fighting Obama for the next two years and getting voted out by an immoral electorate.

If the GOP rolls over and gives Obama what he wants, there will be no reason to choose a Republican over a Democrat.

No. If the Democrats had their way we'd all be dead. They have no intention of letting us ever wield power again.

Ever.

Every Marxist claque that has ever taken over a nation has killed its opposition. Why should we think this group would be any different?

People even here apparently have no clue or understanding that a despotic Marxist tyranny - unopposed, is PERMANENT?

That multiple MILLIONS of their own people die via starvation, killing and imprisonment at their hands?

That NEVER AGAIN do a people have a voice in their future?

Letting this regime have what they want as some kind of teaching tool for the masses to suffer their choice - is woeful ignorance of how and what will actually happen.

One reason to not give the president is the budget process

Just a quick recap. The president can only sign what goes on his desk, which comes from the Senate, which came from the Congress. It takes five years in for spending and policy to make the final stages of approval.

For instance, money is proposed for a major construction by the Joint Chiefs of Staff/DoD, and it sent to the Congress. This goes into the list of items for approval. If approved, it is given a funding date in the future four years from now. Next year, and each of the following years it is subject to cuts, or it may live on without a dime being spent. After five years, the money is approved by the Congress.

This process goes from Agencies to the Congress, to the Senate, and hopefully to the President. It goes up, it goes down. With each trip up or down through the House or Senate, it changes.

There is no way in hell any sane person would just give him what he wants. He only has four years - hence the beauty of the GAO and the budget process.

The mere fact that this sitting President has FAILED TO SECURE A BUDGET means that he is at the first year. Anything that this President wants in a Budget can and may very well be cut by the follow on administration.

So that same sense of honor should have allowed GW Bush to have his way? I think not, as the voters have made clear that a divided government is in their best interests.

This the fundamental difference between the rats and GOP. When the rats lose, they get even nastier and fight dirtier. They stopped Bushs reforms dead when he had a clearer mandate in 04 then Zero has today. Before last Tuesday, Reid was promising to refuse to work with Romney if he won.
Instead we are going to roll over and give them everything they want. They have been getting everything in places like Detroit and Philly for a generation, didit teach them a lesson?

Nope the house should move ahead with their own agenda, THAT WAS a clearer referendum then Zeros win. If it means 4 years of grid lock, so much the better.. THAT’S what the nation voted for Tuesday.
