I don't have much optimism for this approach. I think I'd rather concentrate on getting the new news media more widespread. Smartphone apps, tablet news sidebars/slide-ins, electronic billboards that can stream real-time info.

Advertise it as a way to keep up with what's going on in the world. Stream tech info, investment info, weather, local news, whatever the user wants. And do it all with bits leaning right of center. Make it so people just can't live without it.

Get aggressive with pushing our message out and shut out the liberal one. Profess to being "mainstream"/unbiased, but be right-of-center (like the "news" media of today say they're unbiased but continue to spout DNC talking points).

Targeting NBC News requires no effort, translates into lost advertisers and revenues, and does nothing to stunt growth of new media, which will eventually put Old Media out of business.

Concentrating efforts on one news op will accelerate the demise.

Why not do both?

You idea is absolutely spot on but surely it doesn’t take more than a few seconds to a few minutes to e-mail an advertiser on MSNBC. The conservatives I know are good at multitasking. They can walk and chew gum at the same time.
