I’m so angry about this week! Let me add some specifics as to why:

1. The so-called bush Tax Cuts expire January 2012. They will NOT be renewed. Taxes will go up substantially. And not just for the rich, but everyone paying will see a cut in their paychecks. For the bottom rung of taxpayers, enough to buy a muffler, thank you Tom Dashole. From there on up, more. For some, lots more.

2. Obamacare. We all thought the Supremes would end it. They did not. We had one out, and that was this election. Face it, Obamacare is the law of the land. With several thousand pages of regulations and sub-directives, we have yet to understand just how bad this is going to be.

3. Sequestration and cuts to the military. It is on, the chopping block now feels the axe. What will be left? I am a military retiree with health problems. I’m soooo screwed.

4. The media won on creating the popular meme that Republicans and TEA partiers are racist, Bible-thumping haters.

5. Did anyone mention that not only did Alan West lose* but Alan Grayson got his job back?

I do not blame Romney. Let's face it folks, the driveby media won this one. I've spent years on this thread pointing that out.

The real enemy hosts these shows we gather to watch.

*Still being fought!

Did not realize Grayson got his seat back. Now I’m even more depressed.

Agreed, the media bias has brainwashed half the voters, but not half the country. We must continue to do their jobs, and not just here among ourselves as I see is part the problem of the media getting away with campaigning for Democrats and going negative on anything Conservative.

On that note, AB; Back to fundamentals, one job at a time.

If it's difficult to turn off ALL media all the time, then let's agree to one at a time. NBC News programs are my suggestion and new practice. No MTP, Morning Joe, Today, Brian Williams, MSNBC, Rock Center. None, Nada, Zip. They're all slime, but NBC seems the worst offender.

I'm happy to catch summaries of MTP here. If none of us watch, we'll have to wait for the details, but by and large it's meaningless propaganda anyway

We know their ratings are weak and getting weaker across the various platforms, perhaps even extending beyond news. My goal, our goal, is to put them out of business with a final killing financial shiv. Old media proved they're not quite dead. Yet. I say kill 'em.

First off, I was as proud to vote for Romney Ryan as I was to vote for Ronald Reagan and Bush Chenny. All good Americans who had proven records of dedication to God, family, and country. And accomplishment in every sector of enterprise I can think of. Thank God for all of them.
Now, I emailed a response to a friend who was keeping the death watch with me as others retired and the defeat of the good guys was locked in. GOD IS A DEMOCRAT! The good guys lost and the bad guys won. The enormity of this loss still overwhelms me and I do not linger on thinking of it for long. Too sad and so wasteful of all the reasons that America is so great. I was not alone in believing that if Republicans lost this election it would be because this country, republic, as we have known it was already lost.
I wonder will there be another leader who will come forth to offer their service, knowing the stacked deck they will face? As Winston Churchill said, we may have to fight when there is no hope of winning. We cannot help ourselves anyway. It is what Americans do.

More on our alphabet friends, AB; I think back to George Stephanapolous' question to Mitt about contraception. That was the first clue that the game was rigged. The selective burying of news right through the effects of Sandy on Staten and Long Islands the week before the election sickens me.

Where to start ? Education ? Primary system ? Republican (non-)leadership. Message ? Media ? Electoral College ? Congressional co-operation / complete concession / hardnose stonewalling ?

We will win in the end, but the road just got longer. They are corrupt (Obie regime and media), and now emboldened so I expect them to make fatal errors that bring down the regime by 2014. They've already begun with Benghazi/Patreaus. And they know it.

The GOP took a shellacking in the Senate races. Weeks ago, they were expected to pick up around 5 seats and move to near parity with the Dems in the number of seats.

Instead, they lost — and several seats were thought to be the GOP’s pick ups just weeks ago.

Akin in MO, Allen in VA, Mourdock in IN — all three had mouth problems that helped in their losses.

==

Then there is the presidential race. For weeks, we heard from Barone, Rove, Morris, and some others that Romney was going to win by over 300 electoral votes. We heard several of the talkshow hosts saying ‘ignore the polls because they are wrong.’

Instead, most of the polls turned out to be more accurate that Barone, Rove, Morris, and the ‘conservative’ talkshow hosts.

==

Now, we have had 4 days of finger pointing. Voter fraud, the message, the messenger, Hurricane Sandy, etc.

The next big question for the GOP: Whose turn is it for 2016?

Krauthhammer says it has to be a younger face with an Hispanic background, as he follows up with, someone like Jeb Bush or Marco Rubio.

Sorry Charlie, but Jeb Bush is not a new face and the Bush name has tainted GOP politics for decades. Obama was still running against Bush in this election and the exit polls showed that many blame Bush, not Obama, for the economic situation.

Names for 2016 are already being thrown around. If the GOP cannot field a better list of contenders than they did for the 2012 GOP primaries, they are going to lose again in 2016.

Agreed, but for one little thing.

Getting ANGRY doesn't do much but screw up your concentration and your aim. (Which for a Naval Aviator could mean you drive yourself right into the dirt.)

I do believe that I'll stay Fighting Mad instead.

(...although I'll probably get a bit medieval on the next media pimp/political "expert" starts up on this Tea Party / Conservatism Is Dead meme.)

.

.

.

Sheesh, this is maybe the second post I've actually made since the day of that damn fraud.

Its one thing to fight the left, their lies, their disinformation, everything else they do. Its yet another to fight the Driveby media as well.

We have to prove to the DBM that there is a price for screwing with us.

About the only thing I can think of is to hit them where it hurts in the pocket book.

If we for example just targeted one network, say the NBC nightly news, and targeted all their sponsors and made it a point to never support any of them and and another point to support their direct competition we could exact a price from the DBM.

What it would do is make delivering a biased news broadcast more expensive than it already is.

IT would make a statement that we wont be screwed over by a biased media that is all in for communists.

Well stated.

Pro O voters don’t realize that he is “ classless warfare” cloaked in the false
illusion that he cares.

Live in Fla, voted for West ...... Grayson is the epitome of loud mouthed unprincipled “ Jerry Springer show” representation.

Unfortunately the non thinkers outnumber the thinkers and this is what we get.

You are so right.

What should make everyone furious - Obama will raise income taxes for the poorest by 50%. The republicans were fighting that but got no credit. Never do you hear Boehner saying that he is fighting for the little people. He is fighting for the poorest. Obama is fatally hurting the poorest and the economy.

I don’t even want to discuss the Sequestration....I am so furious! Spitting mad!
