The GOP took a shellacking in the Senate races. Weeks ago, they were expected to pick up around 5 seats and move to near parity with the Dems in the number of seats.

Instead, they lost — and several seats were thought to be the GOP’s pick ups just weeks ago.

Akin in MO, Allen in VA, Mourdock in IN — all three had mouth problems that helped in their losses.

Then there is the presidential race. For weeks, we heard from Barone, Rove, Morris, and some others that Romney was going to win by over 300 electoral votes. We heard several of the talkshow hosts saying ‘ignore the polls because they are wrong.’

Instead, most of the polls turned out to be more accurate that Barone, Rove, Morris, and the ‘conservative’ talkshow hosts.

Now, we have had 4 days of finger pointing. Voter fraud, the message, the messenger, Hurricane Sandy, etc.

The next big question for the GOP: Whose turn is it for 2016?

Krauthhammer says it has to be a younger face with an Hispanic background, as he follows up with, someone like Jeb Bush or Marco Rubio.

Sorry Charlie, but Jeb Bush is not a new face and the Bush name has tainted GOP politics for decades. Obama was still running against Bush in this election and the exit polls showed that many blame Bush, not Obama, for the economic situation.

Names for 2016 are already being thrown around. If the GOP cannot field a better list of contenders than they did for the 2012 GOP primaries, they are going to lose again in 2016.

I've highlighted something you said. Voter fraud.

I think that might have made ALL the difference in certain key districts. We still control a lot of states, and this fraud needs a several state-level FBI type of investigations. Leave the feds out--let the Republican governors appoint special prosecuters, and really, really nail the cheaters. Keep it vigorous but low key until they have evidence.

I am 63 years old and I am CERTAIN I will not see a Republican in the WH again in my lifetime. I’m not sure anyone alive will either.

To win the WH a Republican MUST be a conservative, but to win the nomination a Republican MUST be a feckless RINO.

The really depressing thing is that it will not matter who the Demoviks nominate in 2016—that person wins by default.

Conventional democracy is really dead to us. It’s time to look for unconventional ways to bring the elitist Marxist State to its inevitable moment of collapse.

Maybe not tom. By 2016 the country will be in such shambles it will be a suicide run for any dem hopeful. By then even the stupidest of soccer moms or others will be so discouraged they will either stay home or join the good guys. We should have a good shot at winning what is left of a once great country back.
