Exactly. And while they’re at it, raise the minimum wage to a real living wage, say $100 / hour, make Fannie and Freddie give 40 year 1% home mortgage loans, issue students government vouchers worth $10,000 each.......give them 10 per semester, etc, etc. Let’s let the democrats do in one year instead of eventually.

Looking back on history, it seems like Reagan was a but brief respite from the steady march of statism. The last truly conservative president before that had to be like...Coolidge. Ever since... We’ve been moving left. With the election of O, it just full steam ahead at this point.

Reagan never reversed the tide like he promised. He just slowed the expansion. To his benefit, he saw an opportunity to collapse the USSR because its unsustainable economic model was showing cracks (sound familiar?) and made the decision to make taking out the Ruskies his top priority. He still did an admirable job on fixing the economy.

Coolidge was, in fact, the last President to lower taxes, cut government spending, reduce the size of government and improve the economy — all in less than five years.

I think the GOP should let them raise it by $10 trillion. The faster we move toward economic collapse the faster we can get this country back. Its going to take a total disaster of epic proportions to wrest control away from the progressives.
