Actually, Santorum lost in the election of 2006, not "the wave election of 2008." But what the hell. If you want to make up history as you go along who am I to stop you.

I believe Santorum lost in 2006, not 2008. I thought he came into the Senate in the “Class of 1994” with Newt Gingrich’s House Republicans.
