hey bro...you say your card is worth $1,500....I'll give you 750.00 cash for it.....O.K., $800.00....SOLD!I doubt they'd do that as the card is "recharged" each month.
If you're getting $600/month in food stamps (which is not all that unusual), why would you sell the card? You're giving up $600/month in free stuff.

They sell the card, then they tell the gubmint that they lost it or had it stolen before the next month’s recharge, and get a new card.
