Liberal Miami Herald columnist Carl Hiaasen caricatured the Republican Party's base on Thursday's CBS This Morning. Hiaasen asserted that President Obama won Florida on Tuesday because Mitt Romney's campaign didn't appeal to "people who vote who are not old/middle-aged, angry white guys."
Carl Hiaasen is a really vile person. Read, if possible, (I know it is a hold your nose sort of thing) any of his feculent novels. The heroes and heroines are sexually and morally twisted and perverse characters who are opposed to card board versions of regular straight Americans, IE., what he describes here. Hiaassen, who is pretty old and crackpot angry himself, if you ever have the misfortune to see him in person or on TV is really pretty much what he is calling Republicans only he is perverted and immoral rather than straight and ‘unhip’.
They spelled communist wrong.
And the ad where a man is called “boring, boring, boring” by his dinner date and then he shows he is cool by listening to an annoying song (Alicia Keys, I think). How about an ad where a man (a black man) criticizes a woman and then Kid Rock is shown? Would that be allowed?
And TV shows where women kick men in the groin, worse when sitcoms show this followed by laugh tracks. Why is that funny or even needed? We'll never return to Ozzie and Harriet but stop this onslaught.
Not a “MEME” I’m buying in to. There were many young people behind Romney/Ryan. Our party doesn’t feed,breed,house and support our constituency so they will vote for us in perpetuity. Silly us.

Nothing to do with age, gender or race, just sometimes folks have to learn the hard way. Right now Democrats are winning because folks don’t understand economics, as unemployment gets higher and inflation bounces up, Democrat constituents are going to be perplexed as they learn they were duped.
What they don’t seem to understand is that old white guys built a lot of America. We have what we have because of their sacrifices and ingenuity. That includes much of the world that runs on the innovations of white European/American science. There’s really little indication that hip hop culture and EBT swipers are prepared to advance or even sustain the wonderful world our forebears left us. I don’t think feminist studies is going to help much either.
In a way they are right. The young, hip, multicultural, metrosexuals that elected this thieving racist are the ones who are going to have to deal with the results of his incompetence. It’s going to be a deep hole. I can almost see them, out in the street rioting because the government is insolvent.
Crime will go up. It will not be fun.

I should add that I also think a lot of people, libertarians included, ridicule Christianity in much the same way they despise old white guys. However, respect for the individual and the belief that everyone has value comes from Christianity. Western civilization would not have created what it has created without Christianity. I really don’t think a pagan, immoral society is up to the task of maintaining what our Christian, white ancestors left us.

At some point I believe they will attempt to seize the accumulated wealth, more than likely they will start with privately owned mineral wealth, and the mineral wealth they will start with is going to be oil and gas.
