Why punish the conservatives in the blue states who were trying their best?
How about avoiding blue counties instead.
That way you boycott the blue counties in red states too.

Most of the counties in blue states with convention centers are big city blue. Associations plan these meetings years in advance. Notify them that you refuse to go to that meeting and will encourage all like minded peers to do the same.

We cancelled reservations yesterday to a company reunion in Las Vegas next May, exactly for the reason you cited.
Agreed. Also in restaurants all they seem to offer is CA wine. I refuse to order it and always look for a wine not from CA.
Note that this would also deprive you (and your presumably red state) of any business you may have generated at such convention.

I am finding services to slash from my monthly budget. When I give my reason for cancelling, I calmly and politely say it is because of the election: I can't take the risk of not having the money to spend because of the policies that were voted for and will be enacted very soon...
... end of discussion ... a good, indirect way of saying "elections have consequences."
As much as I love attending SHOT Show in Vegas, I think I will skip it this year..
Better yet, let association planners know that you will not be attending any conventions in Boston, SanFran, Chicago, etc.
At the same time recommend more sane options like: Charlotte, Phoenix, Nashville, Dallas...heck even Boise!
Here’s another one...we like Mexican food and eat out fairly often. No more Mexican restaurants. 72% Mexicans voted Obama..we don’t want to support them. They’re ignorant of the power of the dollar. When business drops off, they’ll learn the hard way.
Since most members are business people and probably GOP, a big group could insist on locations in red states! New Orleans and Salt Lake City are also good.
