One observation, which I make for completeness, not to start a flame war, is that if #5 is self reliance, then there is a #6 which should be added to the list even if it is somewhat hypothetical in the modern world and if only for discussion.

# 6 Immigrate. It is what most of our forefathers did when they lived in Europe, Asia and elsewhere and why they came to the colonies or the USA. They looked at their increasing poverty, limits on freedom and opportunity, government oppression, restriction of religion and conscience, burdensome taxation and they immigrated.

If the USA is truly dead, so that "America" is no more, then what is left is a piece of ground and a country that is financially insolvent. Unlike the old USSR you can still leave, it is not easy but that door is not yet closed. What made America great is not the dirt under your feet but its freedom (both personal and religious) and opportunity. When that ceases, and it is rapidly vanishing, immigrating is an option.

Emigrate not immigrate. There is a problem with that though and that is where? Even with the state of things in the US the way they are it’s even worse elsewhere. The easiest place to move to at least culturally is Canada. It has a nominally conservative national government but pretty much everything is more expensive and taxes are way higher. They are further down the socialist road than the US is in many aspects. The reach of the government in Canada however may be less than the US although that in a certain way is hard to measure. Lets just say law enforcement has fewer toys in Canada than the US does. You will not however feel more free in Canada. Everywhere else is pretty much harder to move to and culture issues may or may not arise.

I am not saying this option is impossible as plenty of expat Americans do live in many varied places but just be sure and check out where you plan to move to first. There is no chick fil a outside the US as far as I know.
