The day after a presidential election is a time for soul-searching for the losing party. Republicans need to look in the mirror and seriously analyze the troublesome reality that they have forgotten how to win important elections. With unemployment stuck around 8 percent, economic growth basically nonexistent and the nation suffocating from record debt, the White House should have been the GOPs for the taking in 2012. The elephants need a new dynamic leader. Its vital they dont pick a RINO.
The biggest bull in the herd is New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie. The moderate party establishment naturally gravitates toward this type of Republican in Name Only (RINO) because of his liberal positions on social issues. Mr. Christie took on the Garden States teacher unions, but it otherwise takes a lot of hunting to find other issues on which the governor supports the conservative line. He has a liberal record on guns, abortion, homosexual marriage and global warming, for example.
Mr. Christie is so unorthodox for his party that on the day after the election, Republicans were speculating whether he might be appointed to President Obama's Cabinet in the upcoming second term. The governors conduct in the important week before Election Day had insiders scratching their heads wondering if he was purposely trying to help the presidents re-election effort or whether Mr. Christie is simply politically tone-deaf. As the Obama administration was taking incoming fire for its mismanagement of emergency-relief efforts in response to Hurricane Sandy, Mr. Christie handed Mr. Obama a big gift in the form of photo-ops, public hugs and gratuitously complimentary statements about the job done by the opposing partys standard-bearer.
The fact of the matter is that if the president of the United States comes here and he is willing to help my people, and he

Chris Christie is dead to me. Has been for some time.
“Mr. Christie took on the Garden States teacher unions” This is a LIE, Christie has “Taken On” some FEMALE Teachers like the GUTLESS TUB OF LARD that he IS!
Christie represents what the democrats say republicans should become. If republicans were to become like Christie, then the parties might as well merge, and then, the battle for political offices would be between all democrats, with slight differences on different issues, which would be like primary season, with need to hold a general election.
Christie Todd Whitman, Chris Cristie. We need not listen to either of these moderate-liberal Christie governors of New Jersey. Or any other moderate-liberal former governor with a simliar name (Charlie Crist) or any other former governor of Florida (Jeb Bush) or any Bush (George and George).
As you can see, I’m making fun connections between all these worthless moderates who continually try to exercise their influence within the republican party, and openly demonstrate their visceral hatred of conservatives.
Excommunication is far to gentle a punishment.
Christie?
What is a Christie?
Bwahahaha!!!
They already have. All we get is "good cop, bad cop".
Don't fool yourself.
FMCDH(BITS)
Bush is next in line. Florida, speaks Spanish, brother won re-election. Kasich as vp in Ohio would help.
What a crock. You heap praise on a President for showing up at the scene of a disaster? Gee, how unprecedented. Wow, Obama went so far beyond the call of duty.
There’s more. Christie is up for next November. Don’t discuss plans to take him out too early because he could run as a Democrat. If he ran as a Rat for the WH in 2016 I could live with that.
Conservatives have held their noses twice now and voted for McCain & Romney to try to avoid a greater evil .... and lost. With this election, the GOPe has well and truly lost their 'nose-holding' base ..... fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. No more GOPe wins in the future because I don't think they'll change course (already people are throwing Jeb Bush's name around so that tells me all I need to know). "Avoiding a greater evil" as a reason to vote for poor moderate, squishy candidates won't turn out the base in the future - evil is already here.
Watching Christie kiss Obama’s butt was embarrasing for me. What did it get him. FEMA isn’t doing squat for New Jersey, but it was great political cover for the Muslim.
This certainly marks the end of his career in the Republican Party. (I think I cut him a little slack under the circumstances, but most don’t agree with me.) The consensus is that he threw Obama the lifeline he desperately needed at a critical moment (when even Andrew Cuomo had refused).
He has now officially replaced John McCain as the most hated man in the Republican Party.
I hope he enjoys whatever added crumbs of FEMA assistance Obama throws his way, because when his next election rolls around and he gets stomped by whatever New Jersey Mob Democrat runs against him, the average Republican is going to be sitting at home with a drink in his hand, chortling with glee.
On that day you saw a man turn into a lib. And by the way Romney wasn’t too far wrong about his 47% comment, was he? Well maybe by 3 % or so..(that would be those who voted for him).
Chris Christie became a Charlie Crist.
What do you want to bet that he will be in the "hunt" come 2016?
Screw him!
No wonder I had a sense from the beginning I did not like him! I had no idea (wasn’t looking) from his reputation that he was a RINO, but I never bought into the high praise for him.
He’s dead to me as well, if he even existed.
If for some reason, he becomes the “next in line” being put on the top by GOP-E, I’m quite certain all the “haters” will quickly fall in line and support him.
“Well, who are you going to vote for? the other guy?”, or “he’s not xxxx(the other guy)”
I’ve seen it every election cycle.
