This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)
The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

” wearing electronic devices that will track how often they come in contact with one another at school and on their day off during Election Day to help researchers track how the flu may be spread among them.”
Yeah, sure. That’s the ticket.
Flu, yeah, uh huh, yep, we’re buying it! NOT!
This news is surprising to me considering how conservative the area is. I had two opportunities to sue that school system and make millions, based on past legal cases, but preferred not to destroy people’s lives. Instead, I talked to them and educated them. This makes me sorry I didn’t sue and take them to the cleaners.
A little paranoia goes a long way around here.
Student prank.
Every kid make physical contact with the school’s ‘resource officer’ at least 5 times during the day.
What exactly are these researchers hoping to discover? That the flu is spread through contact? We already know that. At first blush, it sounds more like the real research is in testing these tracking devices. ;-)
