FIRST of all- I am not defending Boehner, I am clearly clarifying that the headline was misleading.
Secondly- His "grand bargain" is brilliant. Obama kept saying during the election that he wanted to close loopholes(feel free to read over transcripts from the debates).
Thirdly- the "grand bargain" is no bargain for Obama- it is a trap. It's a "Hey, you said you want to reach across the aisle. Good- Lead then. Here is something we agree on- increase revenue and close loopholes- let's get 'er done."
and did you bother to read the rest of my post where I agree that Boehner needs to go! He is a spineless hack!
Now, if anyone in the house had a pair, they would say-- Hey, we will agree to work with you on Revenue issues, but not until the Senate passes a budget. No one can run a house, business, or government without a budget. Without a budget, anything else is a clear message to the American people that the Senate thinks they are above a budget and don't need one, because after all- who needs a budget when you have TAXPAYERS?
cheers to you. I know this is hard on us, and hard work, but we have got to stay smart!
I guess u chose not to address how all these Grand Bargains
over decades have brought us to the brink.
Nor did I see why Bonehead and Cantor did not share this so
called great idea BEFORE the election, not 1 day after.
Could it be that the reason Bonehead and Cantor did not share
this so called GRAND BARGAIN BEFORE The election is that a whole
lot of conservatives would NOT think that Grand of it?
Me thinks so. So, if its not Grand enough to share BEFORE the
election, what makes it so Grand 1 day after the election?
