I would usually agree with you on this, but there's a whole other side to this that nobody is talking about. The basic objective of "immigration reform" is to get millions of new residents into this country to prop up our sagging economy. They aren't just voters ... they're customers. That's why so many states have been falling all over themselves granting illegal immigrants all sorts of things that seem preposterous at first glance -- like driver's licenses, in-state college tuition, etc. They've been brought here to buy cars and get useless college educations ... just like most Americans!
