You overestimate the GOP.
The top contenders, no matter how much we gripe are:
Jeb Bush
Chris Christie (Yes, he is)
Bob McDonnell
Marco Rubio has a shot if he runs, but he will suffer the same vote-splitting that Conservatives did this time around in the primaries, most likely because of immigration.
Bobby Jindal is another outside shot.
Jeb Bush - won’t win because people hate the Bush brand.
Christie Christie - America will never elect a slob as its President.
Bob McDonnell - decent guy but I’m not sure he could carry what VA is today.
I prefer Mike Pence but I don’t think the liberal GOP establishment wants him.
We’ll get another crappy liberal lite candidate in 2016 who will lose to the Democrats.
I have probably voted my last national election. We’re always given the absolute WORST candidates - haven’t had a really good choice since Reagan.
America’s days are clearly waning. Crumbling cities, rising crime and constant high unemployment is proof of that.
To hope we’d get a candidate with morals, experience and intelligence is asking too much. American’s don’t value that. They value “what’s in it for me” and who has the most Hollywood/music one-percenters standing around them.
None of the above for me.
I won’t pander to race.
I won’t vote for another RINO.
The GOP has had it’s chance and failed miserably over and over. The GOP is no longer a party of conservatives. It is a party of the political elite who will do whatever they need to do to stay in power. I’m not interested in perpetuating their power at the expense of principles.
If you run a democrat/socialist on the Republican ticket, you may win the election in the R column, but you have lost the war.
