Dems keep Senate, leaders urge working toward solutions (To GOP, DO NOT WORK WITH THE RATS!)

Democrats will retain their control of the Senate and Republicans will maintain majority in the House of Representatives.

The Democrats' larger Senate majority will give them the ability to influence much of the Washington agenda during the next two years.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nevada, said the results show it's time for a change in how lawmakers do business. Democrats and Republicans must work together, he said.

"The strategy of obstruction, gridlock and delay was soundly rejected by the American people," he said in a statement. "Now, they are looking to us for solutions."

Harry Reid is the same clown that said he would not work with Romney had he won.

Harry, when your Senate passes a budget, we’ll take a look at it.

Give them what they want. The sooner they trash things, and the country collapses, the sooner we can begin rebuilding.

Americans have made it clear, they will settle for nothing less than a first hand lesson with full on socialism.

Besides, it’s not like we can stop them.

Bipartisanship to a lib/dem is agreeing to do what they want, not comprimising or meeting in the middle.

We’ve gotta get Johnny the Jellyfish out of that speaker position.

Our nation’s founders were anything but bipartisan.

Exactly! The Rats said they have the answers and the majority believed them so stand back and let the chips fall where they may.
The Rats will get their tax increase on Jan 1st without the GOP doing anything. The debt ceiling doesn't matter because Obama claims he can raise it without congress. Obamacare will treat the masses, in the morgues.

simple solution for the GOP; tell the Senate they will get rid of the Bush tax cuts if obamacare is repealed...the rats claim the American people are behind them on raising taxes on the rich and we know the American people are behind repealing obamacare....

its win-in for the GOP in every direction; hence it has no shot of ever being considered by them...

Speaker doesn’t have to be a House member.

speaker of what? the guy lost last night...another reason why the GOP is clueless and classless- West should’ve been given a podium to speak but since he was a Tea Party guy they purposely ignored him...

I was thinking more along the lines of Bachmann or Demint. Demint probably stands the best chance.

When Obama and Pelosi say “Jump”, Boner will ask, “How High?”

Bravo brownsfan. I agree, just let them have it and let’s begin to make other plans to pick up the pieces. In the meantime, all the “angry white guys” will have to decide if they still want to keep working so hard to keep it it all together. Paying the lions share of the taxes, picking up the slack for the “democrats” in the office while being supervised by women.

I could live with either...my only problem with Bachmann is she would be fighting for her job every election cycle. She's obviously NOT in a safe district...most Speakers are.

Just listening to a guy on Beck ... small chemical company, 30 employees, struggling to deal with regs and paying what they earn in taxes. Last night, he and the wife decided no more 70-90 hour weeks .... announced to the employees they are going into a 3 month shutdown.

Both of my brothers told me last Dec. if Obama wins, their businesses won’t survive. This will be happening all over the country. Hate to sound nasty, but a lot of Obamazombies will be losing their jobs and a lot of folks (like the chemical co. guy) will refuse to support them.

Our "leadership" consists of Boner and McConnell. What do you think is going to happen as far as "not working with the Socialist Democrats" ...?
