Fox's Coverage of the Election - Vanity

Posted on 11/06/2012 5:15:36 PM PST by HawkHogan

Why do the talking heads on Fox sound so negative and dejected. O'Reilly sounded like he was ready to concede the election to Obama based on Hurricane Sandy. I don't understand the negativity.

Also, Juan Williams needs to go to MSNBC.

Fox announced Michigan goes to the Marxist. Sad.

Now they’re saying who knew it was all about abortion? If that is what this country has come down to then I don’t know what to say.

Good news is that we crushed the union ballot proposals BADLY.

The poll showed Proposal 2, which would enshrine collective bargaining in the state constitution, headed for defeat by 61% to 39%.

Proposal 3, to increase Michigan’s renewable energy standard to 25% by 2025, was going down 72% to 28%, the poll found.

Proposal 4, which would create a Michigan Quality Home Care Council and provide limited collective bargaining rights to home health care workers, was headed for defeat 67% to 33%, the poll found.

“I don’t agree on the Christie issue. For those that already had their mind made up on voting for Mitt or O, what did O do to change that?”

Reported on Fox, per exit polling, over 50% of independents who hadn’t made up their minds said that Obama’s handling of Sandy turned them toward Obama. The Obama/Christie lovefest made Hussein look bipartisan, and Christie handed that gift to him.

Morudock called loser. Akin will lose. 2 seats pissed away through sheer idiocy could be the difference.

Brown, Thompson, Mandel, Smith all lost. A horrible night for the senate. No matter what happens with Romney, there will be no repeal of Obamacare, and no budget, and expect markets to absolutely tank tomorrow.

Super duper lame.

Akin, Mourdock, Thompson, enjoy retirement, losers. Epic fail.

We WILL win the Senate in 2014 no matter who is President, if Romney wins maybe we could repeal it in 2015. Doubt it.

I’d say we should stone John Roberts the world’s biggest traitor since Judas but I wouldn’t want Obama to replace him with Bill Clinton.

I guess rats turned out like the polls said. Up yours America. Dick Morris, you enjoy retirement too. He’s saying we should wait till they count all the votes.

NH for Obama, a 90% White state.

Pray for the health of Scalia, Thomas, Kennedy and Alito.

Romney needs Ohio and Iowa.

Bob Beckel has an erection right now.

Sorry to be somewhat inappropriate Professor but this is a bad day for America.

Just incredibly boneheaded candidates. Another cycle where the grass roots fought hard to nominate some awful Senate candidates. Mourdock may have been worth a shot and didn't completely implode till the end - but good grief, Akin was being supported by the Democrats in Missouri because they knew he would self destruct. We really would have been better off with some establishment party hacks that actually know how to win in those seats than the idiots we nominated.

How can the networks be calling New Jersey when the polls are effectively open for online voting for displaced voters until FRIDAY?

RE the Senate: Not surprised at all by MA, FL, ME, PA, and OH.

But MO and IN were so needless. Mourdock had it won until the end. Akin never got off the ground and he selfishly stayed in. I guess he can tell himself that even if he had won, the GOP still wouldn’t take back the Senate. Some consolation.

There are tons of Senate seats we’ve squandered or had stolen.

2012, MO (just called even though the rat is up huge), IN, FL (mack is crappy), WI (maybe the other Republicans would have lost as well but TT ran a weak race.

2010, Delaware, look RINO Castle is scum, he would have won easily though. I endorsed what’shername but I wasn’t expecting her to bomb out. Lose/lose whatever

Nevada, Angle pissed away a won race. Crowned herself Queen of the Tea Party and that was enough to win the nomination. Lame. We warned people about her before the election.

Colorado, bad candidate lost narrowly

2008, Alaska, stolen though false charges against Ted Stevens (RIP).

Oregon, the rat won with 47% cause some idiots voted for the Constitutiton party. Gordon Smith wasn’t so great but he looks like piece of gold now.

Minnestota, Stolen by AL FRANKEN (the joke is on America)

Mike Pence is elected Governor of Indiana.

Still not calling NC, I said since the beginning Romney wins for sure while rat polls showed a tie.

Counting the seats we will blow in 2014 we should win a narrow majority only.

Or it could be a blowout after another 2 disaster years of Obama.

I know who to trust in 2016, sports betting sites.

Fox finally calls NEBRASKA 2!!!!

But Osama get’s ME-2!!!

Nebraska voted down a bill to stop splitting the vote.

PA considered splitting the vote by district. WHY DIDN’T YOU DO THAT GOP LEGISLATURE? YOU DAMN MORONS. Michigan should do that do. Come on GOP, time to get down and dirty.

Why is this blonde on Fox giggling? Good actress? Too professional to cry? Or another fox dem lover?

I want a totally 100% GOP biased News network. The news “democrats win” should be delivered with disappointment like when White Sox play by play man Ken Harrellson says “this ballgame is over..” when they lose. You can hear the pain in his voice.

You're right, but there is not one single characteristic you can apply to these people: some were pro-life, some were not. Some were Tea Partiers (Angle, the lady in Delaware) some were not. Some were moderates (Thompson), some were conservatives (Allen, Akin).

Politics in American goes through big cycles. From 1875-1932 we only elected TWO D presidents, and one was elected with a third party from Teddy Roosevelt and the other lasted only one term.

I think one of the worst things to come out of this---even if Romney still pulls it out---is that the data will be indecisive. Too much economy and too little Benghazi? Too little aggression? (Yet Romney getting killed in the "cares about people like me" question). In the last two cycles we've tried an Arizona "maverick" and a New England businessman.

By the way---and not to cast aspersions on any religion---but did you notice that for the first time in American history not ONE of the four presidentia/VP candidates was a protestant? And not ONE Supreme Court justice is a protestant?

Dear Lord!

For the first time since she was drunk out her mind while Bush was winning in 2004 I see Susan Estrich on my tv saying it went “as we all expected”.

I’m watching college football. Ball State and Toledo tied at 27. Toledo went for it on 4th down, didn’t get it.

Yes Obama is the only official Protestant. LOL.

I don’t know about you but I think he is an atheist not a Muslim.

The court, Catholics and Jews.

Allen lost as well? Ugh. The democrats might have a net gain! I laughed at that possibility. The Senate is a complete Cluster****. Disaster like the 2000 Senate races (and 2006 and 2008).

We have not done as well as I’ve expected in any Senate cycle since 2004 and 2002. 1998 was bad as well. 2 out of the last 8 elections. Fire everyone at the NRSC. The democrats should NOT have the Senate.

ND is tied. We’ve taken nothing but Nebraska and lost 3. Disaster. This cycle has been very unkind the last 3 times (2000, 2006, 2012).

MT counting is just getting started.
