Third Election Reports from Citizen Journalists: GOP Surge
Big Government ^ | 11/6/12 | Joel B. Pollak

Posted on 11/06/2012 11:52:03 AM PST by markomalley

The following reports were received via the Breitbart News ELECTION TIP LINE (noreply@breitbart.com) between 8:20 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. EST, Election Day, November 6. We have been overwhelmed by your response--there are literally hundreds more reports--we are trying to post as many as possible. The overall feeling is that Republicans are turning out in force--and voters feel like they are part of something big, something historic and wonderful:

Alabama

44 degrees F at 07:15 a.m.

Arizona

I've been voting in the same district in Scottsdale for the last 16 years.  It is a heavy republican district and I show up at 10:00 to avoid the morning rush and usually there are only a few people in line.   Today however, it was packed with at least 30 people in front of me and when I left the line was longer than when arrived.   If my polling location is indicative of other republican districts this will be a good night for Romney.

California

1. Surprisingly long line at my usually dead polling place, although I am not sure how much of that is actually an increase in turnout or just because the insane number of city and state propositions means it takes several minutes for each person to cast a ballot. No question how SF and CA are going to vote for president (although high turnout for local candidates and issues could help contribute to Obama's popular vote tallies)  but I am still hopeful that Californians will vote down the various tax increases and hare-brained schemes put before us.

On the ballot in Cal. is Prop. 32 which prohibits unions from taking dues from employees without their permission.

If that is the case, all those apathetic Conservatives who stayed home rather than vote four years ago, are the ones who put us in this jackpot!!

The only way RR wins CA is if the whole thing is a tsunami. I went to my precinct up the hill from Malibu around 8:30 this morning. It was busy but not frenzied.

We have a couple good Constitutional Amendment props here in Alabama today:

Amendment 6: Prohibit mandatory participation in any health care system. Prohibit, through state law, the imposition of fines or penalties upon health care providers for accepting direct payment for lawful health care services. Amendment 6 is Alabama’s attempt to reject the mandates contained in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA).

Amendment 7: Guarantee the right of individuals to vote for public office, public votes on referenda, or votes of employee representation by secret ballot. Amendment 7 is designed to protect Alabamians from threat or coercion when deciding how to best represent their interests.

"Please go and vote for Mitt Romney and make the obama a thing of the past."

Done. Republican turnout looks great here in Northeast Texas!

I figure Romney could get 70% here in Denton County, would be even higher if not for UNT.

I think that in 2008, there were a lot people who might have voted Republican for a different candidate, but were intimidated by public opinion on Obama, so they just sat home. These are people who simply don’t pay much attention to politics.
