Fairfax County is as blue as it gets. Suburb of DC, all government workers. What there is of the private sector, is government-dependent private sector.

Fairfax flip flops ~ when I moved here years ago it was DEMOCRAT top to bottom ~ but most of the county board had just been sent to prison for selling zoning.
The Republican party quickly formed and began winning a few elections here and there.
Today the Republican party continues to win but they do not dominate the county.
