Santa Rosa Co. in the panhandle. Huge lines, long waits. It’s been this way all throughout early voting. Major Republican county.

I posted this on another thread and failed to mention, I am in Brevard County Florida, Space Coast area.
I voted around 9am in an area that very Republican. About 50-60 in line. The line was moving relatively fast and as some came out, about an equal number were added to the line. Still about 5-60 in line as I left around 9:45. Those I could hear talking were Romney supporters. Last election I think around 80% from my voting precinct voted for McCain. Lots of Romney signs around, but only saw one Obama sign. Lines are longer than last election and enthusiasm is higher. I know my neighbors will do their part.

I am in a heavily red county, Polk, in central Florida. Lori Edwards, strong liberal and Polk County elections supervisor, changed the voting procedure in '08. Could have voted several times...in my own precinct! Will be headed to precinct 241, south Lakeland, after work and "gittin' 'er done"!

Brevard County (Space Coast)
154,057 registered Republicans, 130,214 registered Democrats, and 73,549 other.
Ridiculously long line this morning at 7:30 - out of the building, through the parking lot, and around the corner. I’ll be returning this afternoon to try again. My Precinct is slanted more Republican than the general county makeup.

Wellington in WPB...one of the republican leaning enclaves in a very democratic county. Longest lines I’ve seen since voting. I arrived 6:30 AM. 100 deep. By the time I got out at 7:30, it was at least 200 deep. Well behaved crowd, no sign anyone would not wait and vote. I suspect lots of broken glass republicans determined to take our country back.

The region that gave us Bill Nelson, a very good representative but who lost his way when he became a Senator. That's why, as I posted earlier, I vote against ALL Dems whether dogcatcher or higher. If they get in at one level, they keep aspiring to higher office and at some point get socialized. My philosophy is you handle a Dem like you do a weed, you cut if off at the root so it can't grow.

A special “thanks” to Newt Gingrich this day ...
Romney appears to have finally connected with “genuine” Conservatives ... and Independents ...
as he articulates almost EVERY point that Newt Gingrich was making when Newt won the South Carolina Primary by a “landslide” against Romney.
**
I am extremely proud and impressed by Newt, how he’s handled all of this over this past year — so graciously and so professionally — just pure class. He never missed a step going right back to his conservative political activism and is still out front, being the wonderful spokesperson that he is. I do believe he’s probably in the fold advising Romney, and Romney is listening to him...
I pray Newt is given a BIG post of some kind after this is over ...should R. win. Not getting my hopes up just yet, but praying.
We still need Newt, more than ever.

I agree with everything you said about Newt.

Newt would be an awesome Secretary of State.

Every patriotic American must NOT forget how the Democrats, both leadership and "average Joe," have conducted themselves during the national nightmare of the Obama Administration.
I will not forget, nor forgive. So far as I'm concerned, any registered Democrat is indistinguishable from a professing muslim.

Broward is heavy Obama territory. Looks like they managed to turn out their voters.

Pasco County reporting...extra voting booths set up and everyone filled with about 20 people waiting in line. People seemed upbeat and congenial. More republican signs than democratic signs at the voting hall. Volunteer said there were folks lined up at 6:30 AM. People are turning up to vote because they are interested in something and I don't think it is for the mosquito control position.

Voted 8:00 AM - only about 12 people ahead of me - got redistricted - didn’t even recognize the name of my congresscritter, but voted Republican - voted NO on all the damned Constitutional questions - voted to oust the Supremes!
I’ll take the lovely&talented Mata-Sherry down to vote later.

Clearwater, (PCT 518,) Arrived at 6:35. Was about 25th in line. By 7:00 when doors opened, had to be over 100.
Hard to read the crowd but would guess it was probably pretty evenly split. Not much politics talk in line.
Saw this rainbow and am hoping it is a good omen for Romney and the USA.

I prefer John Bolton as Secretary of State.
Newt would be better as a “rotating” cabinet secretary; first to the EPA, then Education, then Energy. After he has liquidated one, he can move the the next.
