President Obama who has through out his presidency misspoken, failed to live up to most campaign promises and has on numerous occasions spoken apparent untruths, is now being criticized for what most say cannot be described any other way than outright lying.
That should have been caught last week and aired on every tv channel.
But why did he vote against it?
The record shows that 10 Democrats, 3 Republicans, and 1 “Independent” voted against it.
NAYs -—14
Boxer (D-CA)
Burr (R-NC)
Clinton (D-NY)
Coburn (R-OK)
Dodd (D-CT)
Enzi (R-WY)
Feingold (D-WI)
Kennedy (D-MA)
Kerry (D-MA)
Leahy (D-VT)
Obama (D-IL)
Sanders (I-VT)
Whitehouse (D-RI)
Wyden (D-OR)
But, it was his white half that voted against it, and his black half thought the vote was racist.
Not only did he vote against it, a short time after that, he played the class warfare card (in a ghetto twang in front of a black audience) against Bush for failing to provide aid to Katrina victims.
It is almost unbelievable, except for the fact that this is old hat to those of us who actually pay attention.
What I had read elsewhere is that it was as an amendment on a measure related to funding the Iraq war.
Thank you.
