Me too, SEARCH is gone.
Duomo knows that people in many parts of NY don’t have voting on their mind, they are trying to get gasoline, generators, heat for their homes - the response to this hurricane has been horrendous.
I was down on the South Shore of Long Island all weekend and it is still a disaster area, little to help from FEMA and no end in sight.
Add in a Nor’easter storm coming on Wednesday, the body count will go up.
If this were anywhere but the northeast, I might possibly care.
WTH can they do... elect obama twice?

Me too.

So, just how many different polling places will liberals get to vote at? How many times will each liberal vote, do you think?
"Hope and Change" will soon be "Nope and Change" and there is nothing they can do about it except get the lawyers out.
Probably several times - at every polling place in the city.
However, there was never any doubt that NYC was going to be Obama all the way, so I don’t think it makes much of a difference.
I voted by absentee ballot at my polling place in New York while I was home a few weeks ago. Functionally, that was early voting but using the absentee form. I signed the envelope on the outside like I had the absentee request form (both are probably affidavits), while the ballot itself was anonymous.
Other than getting the right ballot for local races, the requirement to be within your state Senate or Assembly district should make it work out just fine, and there's no attempt here to extend the election.
The difference is Precedent. If they are allowed to do it then it will happen next time too. And in many other places.
This is what the left does. They corrupt everything.
Let’s see, I go to my polling place and on the way, get a flat tire. It makes me so late that I can’t get there on time to vote. On the other hand, Hurricane Sandy has flooded out my house and I am sitting in a shelter 4 miles from my polling place. I have no transportation to get to my polling place. In both cases, you are out of luck with no transportation. What’s the difference?
Hopefully, they have pots of purple dye for the voters to mark their thumbs - worked in Afghanistan.
I feel like a hurricane victim. I’m going to vote in New York, too.
Thanks NoLibZone.
“Gee what could go wrong here?”
Doesn’t matter.
It’s New York State, and we -know- how they’re going to vote.
Just be glad the hurricane didn’t blast through any battleground states.
Could you image if this was done in both Florida and North Carolina?
