Judge extends early voting in central Florida following lawsuits

A judge has ordered an early-voting site in central Florida to stay open an additional four hours Sunday, following lawsuits filed by the state Democratic party.

The judge ordered the polling site in Orange County to extend its hours because it was shut down Saturday while authorities investigated a suspicious package.

Bill Cowles, the county’s elections supervisor, said voters who are showing up Sunday are being asked to use a provisional ballot because they can be found should the order be overturned, per Florida law.

The Florida Democratic Party filed separate lawsuits to get four counties to offer more time for voting before Election Day. The other counties are Palm Beach, Miami-Dade and Broward.

So, what we may have is that the Democrats see that the voting is not going their way and Romney is pulling ahead, so they get some lackey to place a suspicious package there to close the polling location in order to give them more time to commit voter fraud and change the numbers.

I wonder if those lawyers who filed the case had those papers pre-written and had the judge in place as well.

Orange County is mostly non-white and non-Anglo now...so not surprised that another “minority area” has trouble voting. These dumb people are going to send Alan Grayson back to Congress

7 hours to wait seems ridiculous. Has any Republican EVER had to do that? I think that is BS. However, if true then it could be necessary to have another day for those that clearly will not be able to vote. I still can’t believe that people waited 7 hours.
