Pennsyltucky vs Philly

Philadelphia County

I am told that a Republican analysis of the whole state through more than three dozen polls for the state legislature (which is dominantly Republican working with a Republican governor in Harrisburg) is that the Democrats need plus 550k in Philadelphia to offset the expected 2012 deficit in the rest of the state. In 2008, Obama's surplus in Philadelphia County was a rich 478k. Can OFA do better in 2012 is the question? (And the deeply strange and unfunny smear tactics in the video below, which is an official OFA campaign release, suggest that OFA has large doubts about itself.)

The Romney-Ryan team's ability to move the numbers in either counties is what drives the late decision to advertise in PA (both the campaign and the SuperPACs) and to use the candidates in the closing hours. In any event, the last weekend visits by the Republican candidates -- gambit, ploy, lunge or raid? --will not make the OFA GOTV task in Philadelphia County easier or more obvious. The busy beaver DNC dam of the Collar Counties is leaking badly. Can Bill Clinton alone save the Keystone State for OFA?

“Can Bill Clinton alone save the Keystone State for OFA?”

I do not know what the big deal is over Clinton campaigning for Obama, Can anyone name any Dem in the past who won an election based on Clinton endorsing or campaigning for them. Generally the guy is the kiss of death. Most candidates he actively campaigned for have lost in the past. Clinton is a legend in his own and the MSM’s mind. In short, he is irrelevant.

Governor Corbett said the crowd was bigger than the one in Ohio Friday. The cameras panned the crowd and it went on and on and on. He also chastised the media for saying the Ryan had “hundreds” at a hangar a town somehwere west in Pennsylvania when there were in fact 2,500 people. Told people to take pictures of the crowd and post them on Facebook and everywhere to show the world. Can’t trust the media.

Quite an achievement, getting this rally set up. The location is a couple miles away from where I work. It's a pick-your-own farm with a lot of open area for a drive-thru Christmas light show. None of the infrastructure you see is permanent, it was set up on short notice.

Good speech by Romney. Hammering Obama on jobs.

Clinton is the kiss of death. He generates a lot of local media attention but few votes.

If it wasn’t for all those Steelers fans supporting Baraq because of Rooney, Tomlin, Franco, Bettis, etc, Romney would be a sure winner in Pa.
