BRISTOW, Va. (AP) — With the White House race in its final days, President Barack Obama and Bill Clinton hit the campaign trail together Saturday night.

Clinton, his voice hoarse from a flurry of campaign events, said he had given "my voice in the service of my president." The former president vouched for Obama's economic agenda, saying he had done a good job with a bad hand.

The joint rally drew more than 24,000 people to an outdoor arena on a chilly November night.

Well let's be fair here. If you go the link you will see a photo of the enormous crowd...wait a second...well golly-gee...there actually isn't any photo.

If this were truly 24,000 there surely there would be photos to prove it. Gave it a good strong Google search and found a video and a single still photo. The photo is small, the video inconclusive as to the crowd size. Of the momentary glimpse of the crowd coupled with the crowd volume I would be generous and say maybe 10,000 at the most.

If this were truly a Romney-esque-sized crowd you know the net would be peppered with photos and videos to push the appearance of an energized constituency. Not seeing it and no reason to belief it.

And if you can manage to get through the video of the rally you surely would agree that this is not a campaign/candidate that is projecting calm assurance and confidence but instead a man with bubbling anger bouncing around just under the surface. His speech, his body language, his facial expressions and his tenor show a desperate man who surely knows his fate.

Was bouncing through the C-Span video again and at the 41:36 mark you get a full view of the crowd. That ain't 24,000. Note that the overall seating area is fairly narrow, easily twice as deep as it is wide. Clearly the attempt was to create the perception that with a photo narrowly centered the crowd could look like the slice of a 24,000 piece pie.

And again I will say it is worth checking out the video to see the palpable anger from Obama. Not the image of a winner.

If he needs a band and Clinton - he’s in deep trouble.

Romney can speak for himself without the need for a backup.

The libs were there for the band and Bubba - they weren’t there to see O.

I’m assuming a typo and thinking they intended to say ‘Bristol, VA’(not BRISTOW). I’m having trouble buying that 24k number too. Bristol isn’t a small town, but 24k would be quite a draw there for two liberal politicians right out in the middle of Southwest VA, which is probably one of the most conservative areas in the entire country. Then again, dem operatives could have been bussed in from multiple states to there from far and wide.

I understand that the Romney crowds in Ohio have been similarly inflated. I hope Romney is not trying offset the recent polling shortfalls by ginning up crowd attendances.

People come to see Romney. They don’t need gimmicks and free food to listen to him.

Enthusiasm cannot be faked. Either its present or the candidate doesn’t have the mojo.

Where are you getting your information? BTW I just read your post re “writing Iowa off”. You seem very negative, and seem to be putting a lot of stock in the MSM and heavily oversampled Dem polls. I see you just signed up two months ago too.....

Well, whoever or whatever gave you that information is wrong.

Maybe, you should check out your sources. Heck, some of them may be seeking.....revenge!!

I am glad that Clinton has found a new companion in his latter years.

He and Obama make a cute couple.

I hope Michelle doesn’t find out...

Romney's crowds have been REPORTED, SHOWN and covered on Fox News!

You're dreaming Obama dreams if you think they're inflated.

How quickly Obummunists forget...

Bill Clinton suspended from practicing law in Arkansas paid a $250,000 fine because of the Monica Lewinski fiasco.

Bill Clinton paid a $850,000 settlement over the Paula Jones incident.

Bill Clinton disbarred from practicing law in front of the Supreme Court.

So Bill Clinton, a disbarred lawyer, and a President who was impeached for lying under oath, is now asking the American people to believe him when he says the best thing for the country is four more years of Obama?

Obamacrats have memory problems

Not the same candidate as in 2008 when he knew he was winning. This time he knows the numbers aren't there and his campaign is failing just like his presidency.

They must have the number confused with what will be the minimum turnout for Romney at GMU on Monday.

It’s Bristow. It’s in the DC suburbs and the home of the Jiffy Lube Live arena. It’s about three miles from our house.
We didn’t hear the crowds and we didn’t see the crowds but there were people there because of the minor traffic back-ups, Obama did show up (we heard the Marine One contingent) but we usually hear loud large concerts and this was not loud or large.

I would say he did draw upwards of ten-fifteen thousand which sucks for a free concert but it was cold and it was late, around 10:30 when we heard the helos wooping overhead. From the looks of them at the gas station, the car tags were from DC and MD as much as VA, mostly college kids looking for something to do on Saturday.

It’s what he did last time around to draw crowds only it’s out of desperation.
