In these last few hours, this is happening again, especially, as "the one" is forced to keep a vigorous schedule and go to such small places where he thought he'd already put his numbers over.
This must surely anger him, as in his mind, he is entitled to his position for as long as he desires!

I've heard that expression tossed around for years in a variety of ways ~ BUT I don't recall anyone ever saying that "voting is the best revenge".
