FEMA OUT OF WATER, NO DELIVERY UNTIL MONDAY (Heckuva Job Barry!)

FEMA's vaunted "lean forward" strategy that called for advanced staging of supplies for emergency distribution failed to live up to its billing in the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.

In fact, the agency appears to have been completely unprepared to distribute bottled water to Hurricane Sandy victims when the storm hit this Monday. In contrast to its stated policy, FEMA failed to have any meaningful supplies of bottled water -- or any other supplies, for that matter -- stored in nearby facilities as it had proclaimed it would on its website. This was the case despite several days advance warning of the impending storm.

I had a strange thought that Christie may have been setting Obama up by having him stop by and saying nice things about him. Now,with rationing and his citizens getting more and more pissed, Christie can call our Obama and FEMA for incompetence. But then I realized Christie is just not that smart.

Now FEMA_FAIL is ordering 2 million MRE’s.. just now ordering? For the cost of FEMA they should have had a warehouse full of MRE’s sitting around. 2 million MRE’s means that the victims will be lucky to get 1 each, it’s nothing but a photo-op for the news crews. Same as setting up 5 military gas stations for millions of people (10gal limit). All for show, nothing is actually getting fixed with these stunts. It’s all for PR it looks like. I think Bloomy wanted the marathon to show ‘normalcy’. Setting up 5 military gas stations in an area of 8 million people is pointless except for PR. Distributing 2 million MRE’s on election day is also a PR stunt.

FEMA should just contract with WalMart to bring in food, water, clothing, tools, etc.

WalMart would get the job done on time at about 10% of what FEMA costs.

And they wouldn’t be sitting around in $500,000 SWAT vehicles with empty gas tanks.

The next big push for the "Gaia Groupies" is to ban the sale of bottled water in their communities.

Those dung worshipers don't understand the benefits of the concept of finished goods in inventory, particularly when it's at the old style brick and mortar store within walking distance.

I wonder how they feel about bottled water in emergency situations?

I wonder how they feel if their actions reduced the supply of bottled for emergency situations?

I got a thread with a crazy anti-prepper complaining about preppers wished Sandy to happen?

That is truly insane.

The more the US Gov’t spends, the less it is able to do.

We have $1 Trillion deficits, but can’t deliver water.

we have hundreds of overseas military bases, but can’t save 4 US embassy employees.

We spend more on poverty than ever, yet have record numbers on foodstamps.

Beginning to believe like Ron Paul, we don’t need FEMA. Just an added government bureaucracy. How many truckloads of supplies, food and water has Samaritans Purse, Salvation Army and Operation Blessing brought in. News media will not cover their good work and I am sure the Catholics and Mormons have great disaster relief programs in the area also.
