I’m guessing around 1,000 folks in the hangar and outside.

I'm assuming it was a sort of a "hasty" setup in the FBO hangar and the ramp right in front of it, since DBQ Regional is not a real large facility or laid out for a concentrated, contiguous crowd. Still, I wish my morning had sped up so that I could have joined "y'all."

I also have to admit that I was a proud member of the anyone-but-Mitt camp. I, too, see some of Reagan in him. My, how things can change. I’ve been watching all the videos of his rallies, and have to admit - I don’t think Newt or Santorum could have pulled this off. I do believe that Santorum is more conservative than Mitt, and Newt is good at history and breaking people’s knees, but the support wasn’t there for either of them. However, Santorum did at least give Mitt a run for his money. Ok - its just a term - none of them could give Mitt a run for his money.

“I also have to admit that I was a proud member of the anyone-but-Mitt camp.”

That “was” me also back in the Iowa caucus.
As our ward gathered during that event, there was an overflow crowd, the likes of which no one could ever recall.

What was really strange at the time was that there was not one supporter of Mitt speaking for him or displaying any signage, badges, etc.

NOW, there is an overwhelming number of yard signage all over the area promoting Mitt.

In 2008, there were a lot of Obama signs. NOW, you see very few. I think many Obama-ites are ashamed. Glad I didn’t vote for “O”!

Mitt has my vote and I’m proud to support him now!

Gotta go now and watch Mitt LIVE in Englewood, Colorado !

CR Gazette has a story up on Mitt's rally now. It claims more than 2000 were there. Press reported 1500-2000 in Davenport Monday. I was at that one. I couldn't get a count on the people there, but I did get a good estimate on the cars parked in the one field so used. There were fairly close to 1000 cars there Monday. Gazette separately estimates 5000 for Obama's later downtown Dubuque rally. No count provided there in for how many were bussed in from Madison, Chicago, etc.

Mitt was my last choice but in the last few months he has won me over big time!
