Bloomberg appears to be a co-conspirator in this possibility.
Nope.
Not unless they amend, revise the Constitution............
No.
Stop the madness!
F this cr@p.
No, the doofus cannot legally suspend the elections. Certain states, under their own accord to so, but the-guy-in-the-white-house cannot.(That is if I understand correctly)
We didn’t even suspend them during the Civil War, why do it because of a storm. It has NEVER been done.
Article indicates headline is too far a stretch...and I agree.
I think they recycle these articles every 4 years. Seriously, it ain’t happening.
Secondly, the federal government is failing miserably re: Sandy and would doubtful want even more responsibility when it can't bear up under what it already has.
And as to Bloomberg, Sandy may be his undoing. People are starving and homeless and Bloomy still thought the Marathon should go on.
Is this where the huge stash of hollow-point bullets (for Obama-run government agencies) might come in? Only for a contingency, of course.
This is tin hat stuff IMO. The military would not be complicit in a martial law scheme. There are limits to their pledge to obey.
Please folks.....All you “Martial Law” theorists forget one important fact. Martial Law in the US is unenforceable. Unless of course the politicians stand up the militia. :-)
No, but I would truly love to see him try to.
LLS
Congress determines when presidential elections are to be held, whuch they did in the 19th century (firest Tuesday after the first Monday in Nov.). The individual states actually run the election. The president has no say in the matter.
Considering the source I am not too worried as WND does not have a very good track record in my opinion.
Please, we can only hope he tries to suspend the election. It would be the end of the Demon-rat party.
Can he do it? Yes. Will he do it? He is dumb enough to do so
As much talk as the GOP at the Fed level puts out...when it comes to countering Obama...they wimp out (ObamaCare, Birth Certificate/Eligibility). Same with those who are posting on here that allude to Obama doing such as “Conspiracy Theory”...same ones who gave Obama a pass on eligibility. The Fed Level GOP, and their supporters, would roll over for Obama
The one thing that would prevent an Obama Exec Order to suspend elections is that the State and local jurisdictions do have a lot of rights when it comes to conducting elections. and, tend to have more backbone to stand up to Obama. Also, there would not be enough manpower to enforce an Obama X Order dealing with the election
Simply...Obama probably would not get away with an X order dealing w elections...but only a fool or liberal would think he would not try...and no one Fed Level will stop him.
Even if knuckled head Obama did declare a nationwide martial law ....
Do you actually think such a thing could be implemented...?
When it is all said and done we are a nation of 50 sovereign states....DC declare Martial Law and a vast majority of the Governors would ....yawn....
Really this whole thread should be pulled for sheer stupidity of the idea...
