You are right. When the interviewer asks anything about rape, pregnancy, birth control, fallopian tubes, etc; the correct response is “The national debt is bad for women. The budget deficit is cruel punishment for children.”

You are probably right on. We need to fill the seats to take control of the Senate. But what have we, if the “quality” of our members is subpar? Will they be obstructionists who don’t see the bigger picture and hang things up because of some strange belief system? I guess, at this juncture, we haven’t a choice. Just hope they win and then are manageable. A free society survives if we have quality leadership. Unfortunately, in a lot of cases, the person who should have run didn’t even get in the race. I call it the Real Estate Developer/Ambulance Chasing Lawyer Syndrome. That seems to be what we end up on our Town Council. They run, not because they want to do something positive for the town, but rather so that they can line their pockets.
