“There you go again”, “Wheres the beef?” and “I won’t use my opponents youth and inexperience against him” were all soundbytes that helped influence elections some 30 years ago.
So this is nothing new to American politics.
The great man, and exceptional President who uttered those lines was blessed with the lack of complete poligical tone deafness being exhibited by the likes of Akin and Mourdock. I think Akin has, miraculously, recovered to the point of actually being able to pull off a win. Mourdock I dont know about. But the fact is that even if they win their paths to victory were needlessly difficult, resulting from self inflicted wounds.
