I have no clue what controls are in place at my local voting precinct. I have this vague notion that both sides have poll watchers at each location and that there exists somewhere some procedures to ensure that the vote is fair and not modified. And presumably those procedures include making sure that the machines software has been tested by both sides and secured. But I don't know that for sure.

Here is an evaluation of each state's voting process. And while it identifies many concerns, I don't think it even covers what I stated above.

I've seen some outlandish conspiracy theories and dumb ideas posted over the years here, but this one has to qualify for "hall of fame" status.
