Almost exactly one year after indicting Jerry Sandusky, Penn State athletic director Tim Curley and vice president Gary Schultz, the states attorney general, Linda Kelly, both extended and tightened her noose Thursday with bold new criminal charges backed by sickening new information.
Former Penn State president Graham Spanier was indicted by a grand jury on eight counts of perjury, obstruction and endangering welfare of children after escaping charges a year ago. Additional charges of felony obstruction, conspiracy and endangerment were also filed against both Curley and Schultz, who are still awaiting trial on perjury and failure to report a crime.
As for Joe Paterno, the legendary football coach also in the middle of the 2001 decision to not turn Sandusky over to authorities, Kelly offered no comment on whether he would've been indicted. He's dead.
"That's the end of it," Kelly said at a noon media conference.
For everyone else, the horror story continues, the new charges and details laid out in a pounding 59-page grand jury "Presentment of Facts" which should produce fresh outrage over the potential cover-up of Sandusky's acts.

It's ugly.
Graham Spanier should spend the rest of his life in the pen, but he probably will not. Now we might await him to begin singing like a bird as he tries to save his sorry butt.
This thing goes deeper than we now know IMO, and I am happy to see these disgusting dudes fall one by one.
Pedophilia at Penn State is bigger than football. No telling how many were involved in buggering little boys in the locker rooms. After all the protests over sending the monster to jail....Tell me I’m wrong to think this.
Then they should have been thrown out of the Big 10.
The fact that these kids were being mauled during all those years at Penn State is disgusting, and the cover up is worse. I feel bad that JoPa wasn't slapped into prison jammies and put in prison to rot with his butt buddy Sandusky. But I'm sure that the scumbag JoPa has had a pretty difficult time explaining himself to God Almighty.
PSU should have gotten the death penalty from the NCAA. Instead everything is pretty much same old. A couple fewer wins in football this year..... maybe.
What a bunch of sick-ass people. Put them in the general prison population and good luck to them.

It is about time!
Same whitewash of the Michael Mann investigations. One day we will find out that Mann was protected too.

Former PSU President Graham Spanier once wrote ... “to make PSU the most homosexual-friendly university in America.”
I suspect Rene Portland is not surprised by this turn of events.

You’re wrong - or at least there hasn’t been any evidence to support your conclusion that I’ve read or seen or heard about...
I don’t think anyone protested sending Sandusky to jail.
Of course, he concluded it was normal and healthy.
That's right, your tax dollars went to normalize child sex abuse.
What is truly desturbing is how Ø suddenly found a cushy job for Spanier in the Federal beaurocracy.
Why is the POTUS aiding and abetting someone who aided and abetted pedophiles?
