When Mitt wins the election, he should work to make the FCC pull the broadcast license from MSNBC and NBC if they try anything similar.

Helping? Red Cross said they do not need the canned goods. There is no one to sort them....no place to store them and no way to transport them. Did Romney listen??? He is pandering. Period.

The Red Cross is top heavy with administrators who are paid handsomely for distributing Other People’s Money....just like the government. Both want cash, so it can be spent by the administrators, who funnel money to agencies who agree with their ideas. Very little gets to individuals who need the help.

Do your charitable giving directly to families in need or through churches. Your gift will actually get to people who need it.

That came from the Red Cross. Not msnbc....Red Cross said not to collect canned goods...for obvious reasons.

No one needs obama bucks either. We are all out in force - neighbor helping neighbor. obama is using this for a photo op an christie is helping him. This is obama’s katrina. We will blame him for every single stranded person. No power for 7-10 days. I was able to get to my sons house on staten island. Things here are just as devastated as the jersey shore.

They personify the ungracious entitlement in this country.

You offer someone in need a free meal and they ask why isn’t a lobster dinner.

Never enough for them. Give me more or give me that.

The genuine act of kindness is lost on these people.

I have been in a major flood, and the Red Cross showed up, as did the Salvation Army. We were reinforcing a section of dike at 3 AM and the Salvation Army folks stopped with a canteen wagon and fed us a hot meal--welcome in the rain. One of the Red Cross people driving one of their vans totaled my car while failing to yield the Right of Way, and their insurance didn't want to pay squat for the car. They drove around a lot, but I never saw anyone get helped.

Guess who gets my donations (it isn't the Red Cross), and the Red Cross doesn't have a lock on what is and isn't needed by other organizations.

Besides, remember the 9/11 fund, money is always welcome there.

Other people may see it differently, and I'm not saying not to help out if you feel so inclined, just put it where you think it will do the most good.

Other then blood we never give to the Red Cross or the United Way. No control over where the donations go or who gets it. Far to often the wrong people. We give to our Church or local organizations we know and trust.

“the Red Cross wants blood and money”

PMSNBC: Cuts off its nose to spite its face.

If Obama gave a nickle PMSNBC would have an orgasm. Since a Republican did it, they don’t want to claim for the recipients not to take it because it came from a Republican.

Yesterday I attended an event in La Crosse, Wisc. where Ryan visited Republican Party HQs for about 20 minutes. He only spoke to thank Republican Party volunteers for their efforts and the people who came for donating food, and he also recommended sending money to the Red Cross. He only posed for pictures with the party faithful and never once mentioned politics. How’s that for being an uncaring, greedy, evil, capitalist b....d? (smirk)

The crass, snarky attitudes from the leftards toward those who actually move goods and people to help others are mind-boggling. Those turds at MSNBC wouldn’t know a good deed if it landed on their pointy little heads.

When you're a socialist, any action coming from wealth is evil by definition, unless it's the government.

Personal wealth is eeeeeevil -- though he has earned it. Government wealth is goooooood -- though they have confiscated it.

The human mind is endlessly flexible.

Giving $$$ to the Red Cross and other large charitable organization is no different than giving $$$ to vagrants.

There used to be “homeless” begging for money outside a McDonalds I used to frequent in DC. I’d never give money, but would regularly offer to buy McDoubles or McChickens for them. Never had a single taker, so my conscience was clear.

I choose to donate actual items. If the Red Cross doesn’t like it there are PLENTY of other organizations that WILL take them instead.

I actually think MSNBC may be right, but for the wrong reasons. I think they are right because Romeny can’t afford to play the role of life saver and concerned citizen at this point. Every available second should be spent campaigning and right now Romeny is simply not doing that. It IS a cause for great concern in a state as critical as OH and where Romney does not exactly have a commanding lead.
