A storm many environmentalists see as linked to climate change has forced the end of a climate vigil in Boston. Some 200 people had participated in a round-the-clock vigil since last Tuesday to protest the lack of discussion of climate change in the presidential debate and call on Scott Brown and Elizabeth Warren to discuss the issue during their final scheduled debate Tuesday.
“The fact that this storm was made worse by climate change [is] not lost on us,’’ said Vanessa Rule, a mother of two from Somerville and Coordinator of 350 Massachusetts, a volunteer-led network staffed by Cambridge-based Better Future Project. “We hope the candidates address this Frankenstorm and the effects of climate change in the remainder of the campaign.”
Organizers had planned to end the vigil with a five-mile march from Government Center, where they have been holding rallies, including a “climate twister” game and talking to the public about “climate silence.”

Of the top 20 concerns of the electorate, climate flapdoodle is certainly well past 21.
By the way, hasn’t the National Weather Service called Sandy a “once in a 100 year storm?” As if to say, storms like this occur once in every 100 years? This is hardly unprecedented.
