President Obama remains at least an even bet to win reelection. Democrats are favored to hold on to the Senate an outcome few prognosticators envisioned at the beginning of the year. And yet, with a little more than a week to go, the party holds almost no chance of winning back the House.
They called the fight. Its over. Were going to have a House next year thats going to look an awful lot like the last House, Stuart Rothenberg, the independent analyst who runs the Rothenberg Political Report, said.
The outlines of a comeback for Democrats seemed possible. From its opening act, the 112th Congress was dominated by a raucous class of House freshmen who pushed Washington to the brink of several government shutdowns and almost prompted a first-ever default on the federal debt. It became the most unpopular Congress in the history of polling and, by some measures, the least productive.
Analysts cite several factors why the Democrats havent been able to take advantage. First was a redistricting process that made some Republicans virtually impervious to a challenge and re-election more difficult for about 10 Democrats. A few Democratic incumbents have stumbled in their first competitive races in years. And Republicans have leveraged their majority into a fund-raising operation that has out-muscled the Democrats.
That means that regardless of who wins the White House,.......

the state house victories gave Republican redistricting successes.
The WashCompost is lying about Obama and comforting itself about Democratic prospects of keeping the Senate.
If its a “wave” election, you could see the GOP adding to its House majority as well as taking over the Senate.
The MSM is in serious denial. They’re not writing about the real picture because they know a disaster is in the offing.
^ 2010 state victories among the 600+ GOP victories thanks in part to unhappy Independents.
From reading this piece of a pipe dream, the only thing left is the smell as the smoke has long since cleared. I wonder what their story is going to be when the actual results get in and the wishful thinking has passed?
LOL~!
You are correct, the wave is a comin....

Conspicuously left out is the REAL reason Republicans will keep the House. People haven't changed their views since 2010. They don't like the leftist Democrat agenda. But mentioning that would mean that the Tea Party is still alive and well.
Redistricting is only a small part of it. The MSM can’t admit that Obozo is electoral poison.
The washington compost is confident
Redistricting advantages were often fumbled. In Texas. Here in AZ
In Florida ...where Alan West was redistricted.
R’s coulda’ shoulda’ buried the bastards but played fair.
I want them demolished on every level. Humiliated. Never to raise their stinking ideology again. And then we proceed to finish the job of putting alphabet media out of business.
The MSM will never write anything to hurt Obama’s re-election bid.
You’ll never get them to admit he might lose. They have a carefully crafted narrative and are not about to let reality interfere with it.
That’s a great editorial. I hope your analysis proves to be right.
Thanks for the comments. I am confident, and have been so, since the day after he was elected.
The MSM speaks from both sides of their mouth.
Will the Republicans cower again if they take all three branches? Hell yes they will!
Romney needs to fire everyone and not make the same mistake bush did by leaving
the assassins in power. Kill the EPA, gut every office by at least 20% then begin
KILLING all the bureaucracy that has been created for the last 30-years.
Screw the MSM and the RATs, they had their little run and it's time for the adults to take charge.
So the real question is, is Romney adult enough to really take charge? We'll see but I'm very skeptical.
Here my Congresscritter’s office, who won in 2010 (and has an ACU rating of 100!), the calling bank looks just about as it did in 2010 right now... Tea Party galore.
I tuned in to Meet the Press this morning for the specific reason to hear people talking about Benghazi/Libya. One person (Noonan?) mentioned the word ONE time, and was cut off. No one took the subject up again.
They essentially spent the whole hour talking about three or so counties in Ohio.
I am burning about this. I wanted to hear the NEWS! Blast ‘em.
