JMO,the kidnapping plot is the only thing that explains all the things that went down. The withdrawal of security just prior, the refusal to rescue, and the convenient “video” that nobody had ever heard of before the administration brought it up. The failure of the scheme could have been caused by the attempt to aid the Ambassador by the men who were told to “stand down”.
