It has changed again. The current entry is:

Shuckin' and jivin' (or shucking and jiving) is an southern American slang term for the behavior of joking and acting facetiously.

It seems someone replaced 'African' with 'southern' but neglected to change 'an' to 'a'.

I have since corrected the syntactical error.

The hillbillies say it all the time and we don’t even *have* black people here.

I have no idea where/when/how the phrase originated.

We should change to read: " Shuckin' and jivin' (or shucking and jiving) is a southern American slang term for the behavior of joking and acting facetiously. Talking "jive" was made popular in the pop lexicintently the 1980s Bee Gees hit "Jive Talking" and was firmly planted in the hit movie Airplane when Barbara Billingsly declared, "excuse me stewardess, I speak jive." However, the term is widly viewed as a racial epithet when uttered by a conservative."
