Like many conservative pundits, Sarah Palin is criticizing President Obama for his administrations inconsistent statements on the Benghazi, Libya, attack. Unlike many conservative pundits, Palin used the term shuck and jive to describe Obamas behavior.
In a Facebook post today, Palin wrote: Obamas Shuck and Jive Ends With Benghazi Lies. She also used the term in the text of the post, which concludes, President Obamas shuck and jive shtick with these Benghazi lies must end.

It’s in the Urban Dictionary. Deal with it.
Good. Calls it like she sees it.
He shucks and jives like a Jewish comedian?
Sounds pretty accurate to me...
Would it be fair to say, he acted STUPIDLY, yo??? or even RETARDEDLY?
And she is wrong how?
In the wake of Sarah’s tweet, the Urban Dictionary has already altered their definition of “shuck and jive” to have racist connotations.
More evidence that the MSM will go to great lengths to destroy Sarah Palin and promote Obama.
To shuck and jive” originally referred to the intentionally misleading words and actions that African-Americans would employ in order to deceive racist Euro-Americans in power, both during the period of slavery and afterwards. The expression was documented as being in wide usage in the 1920s, but may have originated much earlier.
“Shucking and jiving” was a tactic of both survival and resistance. A slave, for instance, could say eagerly, “Oh, yes, Master,” and have no real intention to obey. Or an African-American man could pretend to be working hard at a task he was ordered to do, but might put up this pretense only when under observation. Both would be instances of “doin’ the old shuck ‘n jive.”
It has been adopted into non-Afroamerican speech, with a reference to behavior adopted in order to avoid criticism.
In order to keep my job, I had to do the shuck and jive!

if anything, some might see it as racial... but it’s definitely not racist... of course, it’s really neither...
Yep
ooooo......doesn’t Sarah know that such free political speech is no longer allowed by the PC police at the Washington Compost? (Can’t you just see her sly smile as she rattled their chain?)
Exactly! Are we to believe that the clymers at the Washington Compost think schtick came over on the Mayflower with the Pilgrims?
Reading some of the comments, I am amazed at how ignorant liberals are.
Someone in the article claimed he had never heard the expression used with a white politican.
Let me help him:
From August 11:
Conservative State Senator Len Suzio accurately used it to describe the actions of the very white Gov. Malloy administration in CT.
The state papers tried to make an issue out of it. It didn’t go very far.

We already know free speech can land you in jail.
I went to the more authoritative source on the Internet - Wikipedia < /s > and they have this
Shuckin’ and jivin’ (or shucking and jiving) is an American slang term for the behavior of joking and acting facetiously. The term can also refer to the speech and behavioral mechanisms adopted in the presence of an authoritative figure.
No mention of race there, yet.
[1] Shuckin’ and jivin’ usually involves clever lies and impromptu storytelling, used to one-up an opponent or avoid punishment.
[2] Such behavior is believed to have originated in the era of slavery.[
2]
Shuckin’ and Jivin’: Folklore from Contemporary Black Americans (ISBN 0-253-20265-5) is the name of a book written by Daryl Cumber Dance in 1981. In 1972, the Johnny Lewis Quartet record a soul jazz LP called Shuckin’ ‘N Jivin’ .
[3]
The term is also used in the Southern United States referring to deceit or mischief involving lies.[citation needed]
I guess that makes the Bee Gees racist
Your surprised? Its liberals, there is no such thing as a tolerant liberal..the only one Ive seen that is remotely tolerable is Kirsten Powers, other than her everyone on the left are crazy loons
Shuck and Jive.
I’m pretty close to Caspar The Friendly Ghost in complexion, at least in the spring before getting any tan so I can speak on this as authentically WHITE enough to comment.
Living in the South, I have heard that term used in reference to WHITE people lying or cheating each other quite often. It’s almost part of my family lexicon, used to head off any line of bullsh*t a family member is attempting to spread.
Also as a sign the phrase wasn’t exclusively a slur against the brothers of color, it was used on that more Cracker than a Saltine television program The Dukes of Hazzard. It was referenced more than a few times by the Duke Boys, two sterling examples of Caucasiology, almost exclusively when they were planning to pull something over on Boss Hogg, again, a whiter than Charmin Extra Soft individual himself.
So “mr.” wemple, you see there’s more to this phrase than a racist attack on the poor oppressed men and women of color. And if you and your brother in arms mr. roland martin had one iota of honesty in your souls, you’d not be making up an issue out of whole cloth .
However, I certainly believe neither one of you has the integrity to miss out on an opportunity to attack and slur a woman you disagree with in the most hate filled and destructive way possible. It’s just your nature.
Erik. What are you a VIQUEEN or something. I’ll tell you whats racist. It’s the FOREIGNER ignoring the pleas from the white Ambassador for increased security at Benghazi.
Andrew Cuomo said the same EXACT thing about Obama in 2008. You can look it up!
Fo’sizzle,my nizzle!
Fo’sizzle,my nizzle!
Here’s Wikipedia before it reacts:

Also Jay Carney used the same phrase a few weeks ago. Gotta love Sarah and how she is in the media’s heads 24/7..she used that quote on purpose because she knew once people started looking they would see that others in the Dem party used the same exact phrase
Nothing but respect for my girl Palin - Romney should appoint her to a high office in his administration.
Maybe Secretary of Whoop-Ass?

Obama Press Sec Uses Questionable ‘Shuck and Jive’ Phrase at Briefing
Sep 7, 2011
And she stole it from me! She starts callin’ him a colored boy and I’m really gonna get mad.
GREAT catch! LOL!
No, unfortunately not.
For them words are bad, murder of Americans is not.
Naw, she’s anti-Semitic. She used the word “shtick” in the sentence. A vaudeville word used by Jewish comedians
I don’t think it was ‘Shuck and Jive’ .... I think it was probably ‘Snort and Crash’.
What’s truly sad is that little fella in your gif has no understanding of what he’s saying.
I’m waiting for Palin to call Zero a shmucklla!
Have you ever watched that son-of-a-bitch coming down off of AirForce One? Watch his arm and hands. It looks like schuckin’ and jivin’ to me.
Someone on my FB posted a picture of him on a cell phone, stepping off the helicopter, he just did a ‘waved, don’t bother me’ kinda salute.
So yes, I have - I am sickened by obama.
That’s nothing. They should watch Ed Wood’s “Jailbait” and the minstrel show therewithin.
Jaw-droppingly racist.
Al Jolson’s “Going to Heaven on a Mule” is likewise chockfull of stunningly bad stereotypes :(
If you get called “racist” enough you will become racist out of disgust.
That’s it? That was the alleged racial slur?
Oh, that’s just sad.
art, that is an awesome pic of sarah, strong, resolute, beautiful.....love it.
Thanks. I love it too. Symbolizes her in the recesses of their minds. . in their collective unconscious. . Go Sarah!
