Unthinking reproduction made sense when the world population was small, that is no longer the case. I do not understand why conservatives would be against planning and spacing of children when they have no desire to pay for the social services needed by the more irresponsible elements of the population. Recent studies in St. Louis of 9,000 many lower income showed that when free birth control was provided that teen pregnancy and abortion rates dropped by around 80%. The preferred choice was long term prevention like IUDs, and I presume Norplant (although that was not stated).
So, here's the test of the utility of your argument. If, as you suggest, there are too many folks around already, prove it the ethical way ~ remove yourself.
After that happens I'll look around and see if I feel more crowded or less crowded!
>> I do not understand why conservatives would be against planning and spacing of children
I have no problem with the concept of planning and spacing of children.
I DO have a problem with forcing those who oppose contraception to pay for contraception.
I have a REAL problem with MURDERING children to implement that “planning and spacing”.
Any questions?
No conservative is against that. No conservative would ever be for government compulsion or funding of those things either. That would take a tyrant.
Taxpayers should not be paying for people birth control, period.
I think most in the GOP would be all for dems using birth control.
LIFE is a GIFT from GOD!!! Just because two people have sex doesn’t mena a baby develops!! LIFE IS A GIFT!! Bet you thank YOUR mom for giving you life!! EVERY life is valuable even if one is stupid.
I find that the world is rather undeveloped, Alaska for instance is a third the size of the United States and has about 600,000 people living here. If you have ever driven across Nevada, you would be praying for more people.
If you want to plan for a smaller family, you can try abstinence. And studies have shown that schools that teach abstinence have much lower abortion and teen pregnancy rates than any that hand out condoms and teach underage children how to have sex, but not the moral implications of being parents.
I think the preferred choice of most parents is to teach their own children about sex based on their personal growth, not on a bell curve graded by a liberal politician. Might I point out that the largest study on sexual education took place in the school system over the last ten years, and it conclusively proved that if you teach children how to have sex, teenage pregnancy rates soar, along with Sexually Transmitted Disease.
Compare the 1960's teen pregnancy rates to the last decade when teachers foolishly took over moral issues instead of teaching children hard skills. This bothersome incursion by "Professionals" has resulted it the death of MILLIONS of people. Hitler does not hold a candle to the Progressive school systems of today.
