How would one verify such a thing in time for the debate? My Spidey sense says this may be an attempt at getting Romney to accuse Obama in prime time of an unverified story so as to accuse Romney of "shooting first and asking questions later." That would explain this story (or shades of it in regards to reports of a "deal" with Iran) being put out by the NYT and other liberal mouth pieces.
I agree. This smells like a trap. I'm have no doubt that Romney and his camp are savvy enough to ignore it for tonight's debate.

I agree - the Iranians cannot be trusted and this seems like a set up. Romney absolutely should not mention it unless he can 100% confirm it from a completely trustworthy third party. That this is a trap was my immediate first reaction. Iranians are Muslims and are allowed to lie (even encouraged) with impunity if it “advances” their Islamicist agenda (complete spread of Mohammedism) and concerns dealings with the infidel.
I also smell a trap for Romney. Don’t know why the Iranians would be colluding with 0bama on it, unless we have some sort of “double deal” here. There is a secret deal between Iran & 0bama. The first deal is that Iran & 0bama set up this one-sided statement, 0bama denies it, tomorrow after the debate, the Iranians confirm 0bama’s denial, the media attack Romney, and throw the election to 0bama.
The second part of this secret deal is that this REALLY IS the deal, but won’t be announced until November 10, after 0bama has been re-elected.
