I’ve visited Houston several times and found it attractive....don’t know where it gets it’s ugly reputation. It’s not Kansas City with more fountains than Paris, but it’s nice.

You only visit the nicer areas. It’s a huge city.

Houston is flat maybe that’s why it’s considered ugly. But we have magnificent oaks and huge pine trees , more before last years drought but we still have plenty. We have beautiful neighborhoods and tacky ones, old and new. It has been a long time since I have been to LA so I guess I shouldn’t comment. People always talk about Houston’s long hot humid summers (yes) but never mention our cool (sometimes)dry fall, winters and early springs. Oh well, we really don’t need anymore transplants, so let them think what they will.

If you want to know the real Houston, go there in July or August... go outside and take a nice brisk walk about three in the afternoon...
