Bigger Than Watergate? Rep Issa Questions Obama's Role in Benghazi
Big Peace ^ | 10/21/12 | AWR Hawkins

On Friday Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) sent a 10 page letter to President Obama asking him to clarify the role of the White House in the Benghazi attacks.

In the letter, Issa pointed pointed again to the refusals to increase security. He specifically cited a 16-man security that could have been sent in but was not, because Obama allegedly wanted to lessen the number of U.S. security personnel in country in order to "normalize relations" in Libya.

Democrats are disputing this claim, because they know it will do Obama in politically if it can be proven.

Yet Issa is asking Obama to explain this very point

[The American people] deserve a complete explanation about your administration's decision to accelerate a normalized presence in Libya at what now appears to be at the cost of endangering lives. These critical foreign policy decisions are not made by low or mid-level career officials -- they are typically made through a structured and well-reasoned process that includes the National Security Council at the White House.

Birth Certificate
Donor-gate
Fast and Furious
Benghazi

Each one is bigger than Watergate. Watergate was smaller and insignificant — but it was enough to bring Nixon down. The biggest scandal of all is the fact that the media won’t touch any of Obama’s scandals.

Close, but IMO the biggest scandal of all is the GOP giving a pass on them all.

The man has committed impeachable offenses and nobody cries out...
I will fondly remember the America I grew up in and my kids and thier kids will have to make due with whatever is left after Obama is done...

Nobody died in Watergate

I really do not understand the liberal religion. In my youth I was sort of liberal because I feared a powerful government that would steal our liberty.

Liberals today steal our freedom in the name of big government. EVERY liberal should be a conservative today if they really cherish freedom and fear government.

Clinton taught us how unreliable an instrument the process of impeachment was as it relates to the removal of an undesirable sitting President. Any attempt by the Republicans to institute impeachment proceedings against the Current Occupant would fail on two counts:

1. It would take much too long, especially with the election coming up in about two more weeks.

2. The Senate would once again fumble their duties to consider the findings of an impeachment trial by the House, and simply never get around to the serious business of REMOVING the convicted President.

Once the election is over and the votes counted, one of two outcomes is possible. Either the Current Occupant is re-elected, in which instance any consideration of impeachment shall never gain any popular support, or Romney is elevated to the Presidency, making all talk of impeachment a moot point.

What OUGHT be done, if Romney get the prize, is that ALL the upper eschelons of all cabinet post agencies of the Executive Branch should - MUST - undergo a complete purge, and NO holdovers are to be accepted except on their own merits as dedicated public servants who see, acknowledge and understand the philosophy of the incoming Administration.

Don’t know about anyone else here, but I am completely stressed to the max and NOT looking forward to this debate and anxious about Gloria Allred’s implied threat (she DID derail Herman Cain and Meg Whitman)....therefore fearful and depressed that in the long run obama will get away with everything. Only God knows what the leftists have in their goodie bags to entice the “stoopids” to vote obama.

A “Broken Arrow” should have been issued. Instead, all we got was broken bodies. A sad, tragic tale. Lima Station 85 on a smaller scale...

What a life this president leads. He doesn’t need to make decisions, as he has people to do that for him. He can go and come whenever he pleases. He can play golf or take a vacation, fly to here or there for whatever leisurely desire he has and we pick up the tab. Arrogant of him to go about business as usual (campaigning and fund-raising, keeping his profile before the public) when an ambassador and 3 others lay dead, several others wounded and their lives in peril while trying to get to a safer place. Other than the Clintons, this president has acted as if he were royalty on the same level as QE2, who has a symbolic role compared to Victoria and her predecessors. This is a symbolic presidency so his majesty can strut around in his silk suits and outrageous finery, flaunting it all at us in the middle of a depression (by all reasonable standards). I could call this guy all kinds of vulgarities, but my Christian faith makes me hesitate to do it or to even think the words...but they keep trying to come out! I pray for his safety and for him to have wise council, but otherwise, I pray that he (since he loves to hear the sound of his own voice) keeps right on saying the preposterous stuff that he and Biden are so good at. I pray that he says something that totally removes the blinders from many in the Democrat party that they abandon him in droves. As I said, I do not wish him harm personally, but I do wish him to lose this election and pray to that end.
