Political guru Dick Morris predicted Saturday that the White House will announce an "October surprise" a deal with Iran over nuclear inspections before the Nov. 6 election.
Citing an Internet report on WorldNetDaily, a conservative website, Mr. Morris said a deal between the White House and the Iranian regime is in the works to ease sanctions on Iran in return for concessions on the Iranian nuclear program.
Such an agreement, announced before the election, would represent a big foreign policy victory for the president, who has been under pressure from Israel to take a more robust stand against Iran's nuclear ambitions.
The Iranians, Mr. Morris said, may prefer another four years of Mr. Obama to the possibility of a Mitt Romney presidency.
"I think they feel that Romney would assist Israel in attacking them," Mr. Morris said.
"The Iranians have a real history of intervening in U.S. elections," Mr. Morris said in an appearance Saturday on Fox News. "Bear in mind that in 1980, they did not release the hostages until after the election because they wanted to defeat [President Carter]."
Mr. Morris, a political commentator and author, worked as a pollster and campaign adviser to former President Bill Clinton in the 1990s.

sigh.... me too. :-(
Hasn’t Iran agreed in the past to inspections? I thought they used this as a stalling tactic on a regular basis. This is pathetic and will not fool people.
It’s the economy, Hussein. Socialism isn’t attractive to the American people.
Those Greek columns a few years ago were very fitting - that’s where he’s taking the country.
Del brokered through Valerie (The Iranian Connection” Jarrett
Deal is temporary and no inspections, just a suspension
Iran is projected to have enough fissile material for 6 bombs by spring
Everyone knows the deal is to try and make Barky look strong but all know it is a facade
Actually, it may change some votes - just not to Obama's advantage.
The American people and the so called "moderate undecideds" will see such a move as political more than anything. Especially after Biden laughed the whole Iranian threat off during his debate with Paul Ryan.
Then you have the anti-war group (the legit ones) who may still be voting for the man but could stay home if he starts another war.
It would be a stupid political move for Obama so close to election day. Even Hugo Chavez would turn against him.
Exactly!
After the first few attempts in the past that failed, it is just boring now.
BTW: is it only Democrats that have the "October Surprise"? Best one yet would be for O' to say "I Quit".
Or even to come out and suprise us with "We have no October Suprise" this time. Oh Darn, just when we were getting used to the fun.
We’ve all seen that movie about wagging the dog, and we all recognize it when we see it.
Truthfully, people who are out of work & losing their homes, are not going to prioritize Iran, or any other whacky last ditch effort by the One.
Any deal with Iran will be tainted and questioned about what concessions were made by Obama.
Romney should say he will take a fresh look at any such agreement made just before an election to ensure it is in the best interests of the US.
Will these be inspections like they did in Iraq, where they hide everything in advance of the inspectors, and put everything back after they’ve left?
I distinctly remember Morris making this prediction on Fox News back in August. I know it had to be August because I cancelled my DirecTV on August 21st. Haven't had cable or Fox News since.

The Kenyan has only to gain two weeks with enough folks swayed by this Trojan Horse.
So the “October Suprise” is no “October Suprise” then?
(Or maybe just snow tires for it?)
Sounds like Clinton’s deal with the North Koreans.
How many billions will we be paying the Iranians?
‘October surprise’ ?
Lol. The surprise will be that no one gives a rip cuz no one believes the Iranian regime except the Obama White House.
